Historic building six rooms for rent on second floor remodeled nicely. Part time staff come in morning and leave after lunch you are on your own the rest of the day. Breakfast is OK and at the Twenty One Hotel next door. Our shower was broken and only a handheld spay worked that is why I give it a four and not a five. I have a bad back and a hot shower spray is very important to me. I would definitely return and rent again is the shower is fixed. Vatican approximately 10 blocks away. Rerstaurants and shop/markets all around area.

Great stay!
Room was spacious, clean and relaxing. Our family of four had plenty of space and were pleasantly surprised with all the amenities offered. We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay. We were hesitant about the self check in, but the instructions were very straight forward and easy to understand. Surrounding area was safe and quiet with restaurants and shops close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stop in Rome
We were at the end of our 2 weeks trip in Italy and we which able to stay longer at Suites Farnese. Well located, very nice local restaurants around. The room was big and the service great as well. They helped us to park the car and advise in advance by whatapp.

Was really looking forward to this being a fabulous final location on an extended trip to Italy. Although the listing is accurate and the location decent (with a nice bar next door), overall this was a disappointing experience. The room provided was a junior suite, no way near as well decorated or appointed as the example on the website. The furniture and decor were very dated and whilst clean it was a bit student like. Aircon was also available but rattled and plumbing knocked during use. The property is listed as a bed and breakfast (which was the reason for booking) however it’s an optional service for which no instructions or details were provided regarding how to book etc. So we had no breakfast. Overall I think this is a low three star and whilst the awards displayed at the property for excellent reviews in 2020 were probably warranted then this property isn’t at that standard now. As a positive bathroom was good with very good shower (albeit very slow to drain) plus great bed with excellent linens.

The hotel/B&B is in a nice area and in an old historic building. Not too far from the Vatican. The entry looks very unassuming and just has a few step up to the elevator. You need a code to enter the front door. Once upstairs there's another door to enter the hotel floor with a code. It's all very straight forward. Since it's a small place the hotel desk is not manned 24 hours. Andrea (I believe that's his name) is there from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. He's very helpful with any questions or other help needed. (luggage, taxi etc) You get vouchers for your breakfast in the restaurant two doors down. And it's a very good buffet breakfast. The room was very spacious with high ceilings, nicely decorated, and had a good working AC. The bathroom was very modern and spotless. There also was refrigerator, and hot water kettle with coffee supplies, for use. The balcony was small, overlooking a courtyard. The only small negative thing was that the bar down below got a little loud some evenings. We had a very nice stay there for three days, and would stay there again. Thank you "Suites Farnese Design"

We liked the location, the historical look of the property, and the Prati area in general. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would suggest some updating to the property and keeping property in good repair. We did enjoy our stay.

What we liked was the walk in shower. What we didn't like was that we could not get hot water in the sink, only warm. What we didn't like was that we were not given any information about breakfast other than it was a buffet. We were not told that it was a half a block away until someone showed up at 8:45 and we had to leave for the airport at 9 so no breakfast nor coffee. What we didn't like was the door to our little balcony was open and no air-conditioning was on so the room was 24.8 C . We put the air on but it took until the middle of the night to cool enough. We would not stay there again.

Room 301 strong smoke smell that lasted for the entire stay; AC heat was not working, but kindly fixed by the service. Room 304 close to a nightclub, don't expect to sleep well.

The hotel was great, located in a walkable neighborhood, had AC, and was easy to access. My only complaint is there was no hot water for my shower in the morning. I did not have time to contact the staff to see if they could correct the issue as I had a strict timeline to leave.

Superb base for exploring Rome on foot
I was very impressed with Suites Farnese Design Hotel. The location was excellent; only 6 minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus stop and close enough to the major attractions such that we were able to walk everywhere. The en-suite room provided everything we needed and the nearby Bistro 21 supplied a great breakfast. Overall, I think the hotel represents really good value for money.

I cannot imagine experiencing worse customer service than what i've experienced with Suites Farnese in Italy. I was ecstatic to visit Italy, but plans quickly changed due to COVID-19. My trip was scheduled for June 2020, and I began reaching out to the hotel in March for a refund. Although the hotel was initially very responsive when they asked about details for my stay (when I booked, they also got the date wrong, and continuously referred to me by my middle name), but when I reached out asking for a refund, I received no response. I reached out 4 or 5 times over a 2 month period, but I understood that they must be dealing with a lot. Fast forward to a couple of weeks before my reservation. I still am not able to enter Italy, and I contact the hotel for a refund, again receiving no response. However, I can see that they are reading my messages and choosing not to respond. I finally receive an email a week before my scheduled reservation, which says I can receive a voucher for my stay, and when I go to do so, I get an error message that my stay is in less than 24 hours, therefore, I cannot receive the voucher. That would be fine if my stay wasn't actually a week away. I attempted to call the hotel multiple times on multiple days with no answer. I finally received a response directly from the hotel manager, saying that they'd given out too many refunds, and that their hotel will be open if I choose to stay there. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

More like a B&B than a hotel.
We had a good stay but Suites Farnese Design Hotel is not a hotel where you have a front desk manned 27/7. Breakfast is adequate and sometimes served in your room. I prefer a breakfast buffet but this place is too small for that. The location is wonderful, walking distance to Lepanto Metro station. I liked the room, but do prefer a more traditional hotel.

This was such a lovely place to stay in Rome! Andrea, Carolina and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is walking distance to many of the places we visited. Great value and highly recommended!

This place is b&b, not a hotel, but it was the best place we stayed at during our trip to Europe It’s difficult to find but once you get in, it’s amazing Huge room, high ceilings, king sized bed and there was a daybed designed to sleep 2 people on twin size beds, There were 2 large comfy upholstery chairs to accommodate children 2-3 yrs and younger to sleep comfortably on Great location to go to the Vatican City. My recommendation, forget it and go to the colosseum We wasted 4-5 hours trying to see the Sisteen Chapal, it’s not worth it. I am not religious I highly recommend this place The place has poor lighting to the elevator and we used our phone flashlight at the entrance

Very good to perfect.
Very nice room. Desk clerk leaves at 8 or so. If you arrive late make sure you have your contact info email handy so they can buzz you in. With in walking distance (several long blocks) from the Vatican. Breakfast is served and they have a form to fill out your preferences. Slide your list under the door to the hallway and breakfast is served at the time you indicated. Just like clockwork. Breakfast was good.

Amazing stay
Our stay was amazing! Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The location is great as there are many tourist attractions very close by; my friend and I were able to walk to all of the places we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend staying here!

From the description, I was expecting a place full of character. While the renovated building itself is old, full of character, and nicely renovated, the rooms inside were modern. They were comfortable, well equipped, but not in line of the expectations set by the description. The area is residential and upscale and less touristy than the center of Roma.

Overall a nice place to stay
Nice place to stay, staff was very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast. Nice TV. Good Wifi. Parking was difficult and expensive. Elevator was very small and you had to go up a few steps to get to it. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Vatican was an easy walk.

Hotel was great. Room was very spacious (especially for Rome) and the bed was very comfortable. Only there one night and left early for the airport so didn't get to try the breakfast but the menu looked good and the dining area was in great condition. Very easy walk to Vatican City and St Angelo Castle.

First time in Rome
Andrea the hotel manager is such a sweet heart! He makes you feel right at home. The hotel is located in a great area with everything within walking distance. Breakfast is tasty and fresh, rooms are clean and comfortable. Amazing hotel, truly worth it!
