"Simply gorgeous hotel, with excellent facilities"
With a panoramic view overlooking Rome, this hotel is stunning, with every facility anyone would need for a restful, or an energetic holiday (I chose the former!!!). The bedrooms were quiet, and very comfortable. The Imperial Lounge was impeccable - with courteous staff, tasty food and a well stocked bar. The artwork adorning the hotel was breathtaking, and the grounds were extensive and varied.
Our last stay here was in August 2012 & it was a complete pleasure to be back in September 2014!!
This hotel has the most perfect location for all you want to do in Rome-whether it be shopping, relaxing or sightseeing-or all 3!
We had requested a pool view room which we got on the 4th floor-it was immaculate & cleaned daily to a very high standard.Towels & bedding are of superb quality. We arrived 1.5 hours earlier than check in time but our room was ready when we arrived.
Breakfast was plentiful & a very relaxing atmosphere with food to suit all tastes & staff throughout the hotel are just so excellent at doing their job-you feel like customer service is hugely important to them.
We will always come back to this hotel when we stay in Rome-the real jewel in the crown here is that you are only 15 mins on the hotel shuttle to Rome centre & you also have the pleasure of having a swimming pool in this hotel-very few central hotels in Rome actually have pools & in the summer months, you do need a pool.
Hotel shuttle bus runs perfect to time, daily at specified times & there are timetables available at reception & the cost is only 1.5 euros per person each way.
A taxi will cost between 10-13 euros from central Rome back to the hotel-always check you have a taxi with a meter before entering the taxi.
There is a supermarket 8 mins walk away from this hotel & an amazing Chinese restaurant called La Luce almost next to the supermarket-food here is fab & very reasonable!!
We will be more
"Ideal location for visiting Rome & friendly staff"
Staff bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The food was spot on also rooms and facility's were excellent. We are planning another trip to Rome next year and will be booking the Ostia antica hotel again.
This hotel had great staff and amenities. While on a large and beautiful property outside the city, there were frequent buses for 1,50 Euro pp to go into city. The pool and outdoor areas are beautiful and rooms were good size.
The hotel is in a superb central location and staying in Rome is all about where you stay. The hote is off Piazza Spagna in one of the pretty cobbled streets. It isn't too touristy which is good. Breakfast is good too.
Can be a bit noisy in the evenings with the buskers playing outside, but it didn't bother us too much.

Looking for an exclusive hotel in Rome ? In the city which needs no introduction, the Royal Palace Luxury Hotel treats you …More
Extremely unhelpful staff. Pictures are misleading as only a small corner is hotel. There is no cafe in the hotel and Spa facilities are available if owner is not using it and he may use it even if it has been booked by you.
There are many good places to eat near the hotel and it was easy to get taxis whenever we needed one. Less than ten minutes from the train station and only a block away from the Hard Rock Cafe of Rome. Very close to a large park.
