Great hotel for first time explorers of Rome. Easy walking of distance to many of the top attractions and also the metro line. The room was very spacious and comfortable to relax in after a long day on our feet!
Would definitely stay here again ! Only down side was trying to find the place, transfer dropped us off a short walk which is ok but did not speak very good English and we did get lost
Keep an eye out for the green door just after a bakery !!!
Ps, the bakery next door is really yummy !

A lovely B&B in a safe residential area within easy reach of the historic centre. Elena is the perfect host, very welcoming and made some very good restaurant suggestions. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and stylish.

Found this hotel by looking through reviews on TA. 1200+ hotels listed and this was rated around number 30!! We were not disappointed. It's a small hotel away from the centre. It was so peaceful, beautiful furnishings and easy to get to on a regular bus route or by taxi from the central railway station. Room was lovely with its own patio garden that felt very secluded. Bed was very comfortable, well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices and huge TV! Breakfast was great with lots of choice, we filled up and didn't need lunch! Great recommendation from staff for a restaurant just down the road. Would highly recommend this place.
Staff was very professional and nice. We had a balcony which we really enjoyed. Couldn't ask for a better location. Room was very clean and breakfast was great. Great place to stay in Rome; we were made to feel very welcome.
Living in a major city we were hoping to stay outside of Rome's city limits to experience Italy on a more intimate level, rather than the hustle and bustle of city life we are used to. Staying at Relais Castrum Boccea was exactly what we were looking for and were so pleased with our stay. It is the best of both the country side and being able to reach Rome in a short time.
To start, he view is absolutely breathtaking. Set atop a hill in what feels the country side (30 minutes outside of Rome), we got the serenity we were looking for. We were able to watch both the sunrise and sunset on the beautiful hotel grounds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very delicious pizzeria up the road, less than a mile. Cute little shop to get meats, cheese and wine from a country store. Staying here gave us a more Italian experience than tourist museums and ancient ruins.
My only advice would be if you are thinking of staying here, stay at least 3-4 nights. I suggest this because if you use the van to hitch a ride into the city, you only get ~7hours to explore the city. .By the time you arrive, ~1030 (due to traffic), it does not give you must time to leisurely walk around the city.
From arriving to leaving this hotel it is perfection!! On arrival we were given a lovely glass of bubbly while the friendly staff give you a detailed map and tips on tours and great restaurants. Then shown to our room, we had been upgraded to a suite, it was fantastic, we even had a Jacuzzi and sun terrace......what a start.
The room was really special and we had all amenities. Breakfast was nice with choice of cold buffet also a menu of hot dishes. This is a Michelin star restaurant and breakfast did not disappoint. Along with sampling the breakfast during our stay, we also tried the mojito from the bar......fantastic, even better if you take them up on the roof terrace bar.....the views of Rome are stunning.
The first Rome Art Hotel is a stunning peaceful oasis in a busy, busy city. Its professional and friendly staff are there on hand for whatever you need. Cant wait to return.
