From arriving to leaving this hotel it is perfection!! On arrival we were given a lovely glass of bubbly while the friendly staff give you a detailed map and tips on tours and great restaurants. Then shown to our room, we had been upgraded to a suite, it was fantastic, we even had a Jacuzzi and sun terrace......what a start.
The room was really special and we had all amenities. Breakfast was nice with choice of cold buffet also a menu of hot dishes. This is a Michelin star restaurant and breakfast did not disappoint. Along with sampling the breakfast during our stay, we also tried the mojito from the bar......fantastic, even better if you take them up on the roof terrace bar.....the views of Rome are stunning.
The first Rome Art Hotel is a stunning peaceful oasis in a busy, busy city. Its professional and friendly staff are there on hand for whatever you need. Cant wait to return.
The room we stayed in was in another apartment block which was 1 minute down the road from the main hotel/reception. The building we stayed in had some old features, including an ancent wooden lift and marble stairs. There appeared to be residents living in the block so our hotel only had a few rooms available here. This was not a problem as there are plently of secure doors/gates.
The room itself was clean and the decor included some old-fasioned touches. The bathroom was modern and very clean. The only thing we noticed was that unless we opened the windows in the room, there was a lingering musty smell. This was probably from the drains and wasn't so bad that an open window couldn't sort out. The other thing is that there is little natural light in the room. Given that most buildings in Rome appeared the same, I think this would be universal, so no real reason to turn a room down at Belides H.R.
Breakfast was served at the main hotel block but this wasn't a problem since we were only 1 minute down the road. Breakfast was of a high standard: cereal, toast, fresh croissants/cake, yoghurts, fruit. Breakfast staff were attentative and friendly but also left you in peace to enjoy your food.
Our hotel was close to the city centre but a little out the way of the main tourist areas. We were able to walk to the Vatican in 10-15 minutes. We had a good choice of restaurants and cafes to eat in the area that did not have that 'tourist trap' feel.
It was in a very quite environment and was close to many restaurants, attractions like spanish steps and colosseum was just a station or two away. Staff was very nice and flexible. Tram stop was also very close.
Very spacious room and always helpful staff (24 hrs a day). The included breakfast was an excellent continental-plus.Location is a block from the northeast side of the Coliseum and close to the Palatine area.

Having stayed in lots of hotels over the years I highly rate starhotels michaelangelo. I stayed 4 nights. Excellent room, modern decor , very clean, and tidy helpful friendly staff. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and about 30-40 minute walk to the ancient part of Rome where the coloseum and the forum is. I really enjoyed my stay.
Really enjoyed my stay, staff were really friendly, the hotel was very clean, location was great and breakfast was good. I was very happy with the size of my single room very spacious. Would stay at hotel again.
