Room was clean. Cleaned daily. Location was great. Friendly staff. However, check-in was far from the actual hotel, though it was a 5min walk, it was still a struggle while carrying luggages.

Excellent stay
Excellent stay. Very centrally located. I had view on central street. The room is very nice, clean and comfy. With heater/air condirioner and coffee machine.

The first point of contact in the hotel did not speak English at all. The only receptionist on-site was for one of the few hotels housed in the building and was only willing to help those booked in "their" hotel. We had to walk a few blocks and find the main hotel with receptionist who thankfully spoke English - to pick up the key to Hotel Regina Giovanna. Very inconvenient experience for a visitor to Italy. This should be mentioned on the website so that people do not feel "cheated".

The description for this hotel is slightly misleading as checkin for this hotel is actually half a mile away at a completely different hotel, something we only got told 1 day prior to our arrival. Luckily it was on the way from Termini station but still, caught us out a little bit. We also had to ask twice to get a cot to the room, which did eventually make it just before the first night however she (the small one) couldn’t nap on arrival as she didn’t have a bed. The ‘apartments’ themselves are clean, spacious and in a good location with communal fridge and microwave, which were good for the small one.

The hotel is ideal for someone like me who doesn’t spend much time in their room. It has all the amenities and is kept extremely clean. It is located within walking distance of all the main attractions of Rome and is surrounded by good restaurants and cafes.

To be avoided at all cost!
The room was basically a run down hole with plumbig problems, almost no natural light, looking into a shaft and yet super noisy. The worst thing was the unbearable nauseating smell from the sewer. Most of the things from the booking description were not true (size, equipment, overall condition etc.). I am sure the hotel has rooms that match the decription and matching photos, but this was certainly not it. The hotel has rooms scattered in different sections and floors of a residential building and (as noted) there is no reception.

Disappointing
We had to check in and out at another hotel that’s quite a walk from our rooms. We had to do the same for breakfasts. The annex rooms we were given were nothing like in the photos shown on hotels.com. Had we known about this arrangement, we most likely would not have booked. The reception staff was also not welcoming or helpful.

Hotel requires check-in at seperate property but does not disclose this until arrival requiring an addition 30 mins of moving around the city. Hotel has no staff on site. Bed was dirty with hair and dirt - sheets had onviously not been changed from previous guest. Completley unacceptable for the price charged

El olor a aguas negras y gas metano que sale del desague de la ducha es HORRIBLE e impregna TODO el cuarto. La persona que limpia el cuarto sabe de la situación a la perfección, porque pone una toalla limpia dentro de la ducha tapando el agujero para que el olor no salga :( NUNCA cambiaron las sábanas, solo arreglaban la cama con la misma sabana todos los días. Gracias a Dios que el cuarto era solo para dormir. El staff de recepción con aspecto de Medio Oriente (Varón y hembra) no tienen un ápice de servicio al cliente, pero la chica de Argentina y el chico de España son lo mejor que le ha pasado a ese hotel. Son lo único bueno que podemos señalar durante toda nuestra estadía 10/10. No me volvería a quedar allí si volviera a Roma. No esperaba un palacio ni servicio al cuarto por el precio, pero hay cosas que el hotel no puede darte y una de ellas es PAZ. El ruido de todos los huespedes contiguos se oye a través de todas las paredes y techo, el mal olor del baño, la cama dura, y los anormales de recepción con aspecto árabe, le quitan las ganas a cualquiera de volver. Muy bien localizado, pero con la cantidad casi infinita de hoteles compitiendo en la zona... me hubiera quedado en otro lado. Gracias a la chica de Argentyina y al chico de España por hacer de nuestra estadía una mejor.

Here on our honeymoon. Front desk service was amazing. Rome was amazing! The room itself was OK. Bathroom wasn’t very clean but for a place to sleep while we spent most of our time exploring the city- it met our needs.

The bathroom was terrible. The water pressure was very low, hot water was limited the shower head gave only trickles of water. You could only see the top of your head in the mirror it was placed way too high. The staff was not very forthcoming with any kind of help.

Staff were great. They helped alot , very friendly and polite. But we travelled with a toddler, in a stroller, was given the tiniest room, which when they eventually gave us a travel cot , it literally took up all the apare room we had. So we collapsed it and let the baby sleep with us. To get to the actual reception we had to go up and down steps (not accessible for our needs at all. But we atayed in the annexe, which was not even close to the main hotel. It was up the road, even less accessible, the stroller couldnt fit through the door!!! The room had a/c which was nice but the unit that run it was directly outside the bathroom window which meant it was loud and could be heard when it was being used.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights at Hotel Regina Giovanna while in Rome and we loved it! The room was small but it had plenty of space for two people. It had a safe, a mini fridge and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked very well and felt amazing after a day of walking around in the hot Italian sun. The hotel is close enough to the train station that we walked with our bags and was also a walkable distance to all of the main attractions in Rome. It was easy to get from the airport by express train and then the quick walk to the hotel and there were many wonderful bars and restaurants all around. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome and would definitely return. Things to note: the double bed is two smaller mattresses pushed together which didn’t bother us at all but might be good to know and the room doesn’t have any dishes or glasses.

The property occupies the first floor of a building, no step free access and the lift broken. We checked in late (although we had called few days before to warn the hotel) receptionist was asleep on a sofa we got , took a while to get ready and be able to open the door

The location is perfect for when you’re visiting Rome. You are 3 blocks from Republicca station for the metro and you could easily walk to Termini station which is what we had to do with our bags when we left because the metro isn’t open all the time so it is very conveniently located With shops and eateries nearby and most buses end up there. The room itself is clean but very very minimalist. The AC « works » but is super low even on super powerful which meant we slept over the sheets. I did not bother commenting to the staff as they were always busy watching movies or sleeping when we would go in to see them. Know that the services of this hotel should be considered more a room for rent rather than a hotel. It’s cheap, it’s clean they provide you with a hairdryer and soaps, there is plenty of toilet paper, a fridge ( that was difficult to open but we asked downstairs and they opened it for us), although it did not keep anything cold. They have a tv and the door locks. You can hear the outside of the hallways but not your neighbour. You can hear the outside with the windows closed. Overall it is a 2 star, rooms for rent. It’s very basic.

We did not stay at the Hotel Regina Giovanna as we received a message that there was a problem with the booking and we were moved to a different hotel. We ended up staying at the Piram Hotel which was very satisfactory.

This is 4-5 rooms apartment hotel on 1st floor of the building. Though rooms were clean and could be used by travellers just looking to sleepover for 1 or 2 nights. Will not recommend for families or someone travelling with heavy baggage as you will need pick up ur baggage to level 1 and back down which was terrible. Twice was water clogging on bathroom. So comfortable bed but overall very average.

Good Location
The hotel is situated near the tourist spots so it was perfect! No need to take the Metro or bus to go around. It was also very easy to find since it’s just a few minutes away from Roma Termini. The hotel however, needs to improve the air-conditioning. Overall, was very pleased to have chosen this hotel!

We booked a triple room but got a double with a broken rollaway bed. They moved us in a regular triple room immediately after we complained. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Interesting fact, the rooms are located in 2 different buildings which are shared by couple different hotels. Confusing at first but apparently normal for hotels in old buildings.

You get what you pay for here. Room was adequate with ac, tv, and wifi. Housekeeping erratic. Had to call for toilet paper when they didn't replenish. Also called for coffee capsules for the coffee maker in the room, but they never supplied.

It was in a great location for the price. It was only about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum and about 15 minutes to the Roman Forum. I was in a safe neighborhood with some good restaurants around. However, the air conditioning did not work very well and it was extremely warm in the room. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and were content to just sit at the desk and watch videos rather than helping.
