“all and all not a bad place”
This hotel has some good aspects and a few not so great. The hotel is in a great location directly across from a metro station and down the road from San Giovani in Laterno Basilica and about 1 mile from the Colseum. The breakfast was ok and free and the staff was friendly and helpful. The down side is definitly the road noise. If possible do not get a room with a window facing the street. At times it felt like I was sleeping along the road because of the traffic noise which was likely due to the fact that the windows were not insulated. Along with this our heating and AC didnt work properly so we had to open the window at times. Despite this we had a great time and feel that the good outweighed the bad.
“Near the Termini”
Conevenient location but the neighborhood is not too good.
“Easy walking distance to the Coloseum”
This hotel is very pleasant and the staff are helpful. We were satisfied with the hotel, the room was a bit on the small side, but clean and sufficient. The safe in the room was not big enough for a laptop so I left it with the desk everyday. The biggest problem was the WiFi was down 5 out of the 6 days we were there…. very ineffiicient service from their tech … this was a big issue for me since I was unable to keep up with my work from home. Also, the cable TV had absolutely nothing in English except CNN. All movies are dubbed in Italy. We walked all over the city, so if you like to walk its a good location.
“Good 4 star Hotel”
This hotel is located across the road from the Manzoni metro station, so getting there from the airport was very easy. When we arrived at 9am, we were told by the Concierge that our room would be ready within 30 mins. We were not expecting to be able to check in so early, and he offered us breakfast while we waited. It was a nice touch and we were very impressed with the service and thoughtfulness. Our room was small, but functional. The shower seemed to have a mind of it's own (or maybe needs a thermostat) and went through the extreme's several times during a shower. There is one English channel on TV, (Sky news) which was fine for us, as we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel room. Breakfast is buffet style, and is basic but reasonable. The location is good, across the road from the metro, but you can walk anywhere from the hotel also. A supermarket is a handy 5 minute walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good hotel for a good price.
“Close to where you want to be in Rome”
Nice, clean, safe hotel with pleasant, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Easy walking distance to the Coliseum, Termini train station, and several good restaurants. Bus and street trolley are right in front of hotel, as well as a Metro station across the street, giving you access to the entire city. I would stay here again on my next trip to Rome.
“Happy in Rome”
We would have liked to be informed that we could request an early breakfast as our tour began before breakfast was served, We did see the dinning room door open so went in and were chastised by the manager, He was very unpleasant about going into the dining room 10 minutes early. The bell hop qwas much more helpful with the issues I had with their computer than the evening manager. Please inform your readers that the hotel will not assist with an tours not made by the hotel even though we used expedia for both services.
“Great service but in a removed location from the sites”
The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Milton Roma offered excellent free breakfast options and service. The downsides of the Hotel are that it is removed from all the heart of the city Roman sites/restaurants and the noise from the intersection that the hotel sits on was quite annoying.
“This hotel was ok.”
The hotel wasn't to far of a walk from the Colosseum, probably about 15 minutes or so. Becareful about playing with the air condtion in the room, we were told not to tough the thermostat because it was central air. He told us he would only fix it once and it never really did get cool in the room. The internet was easy to use and worked just fine. The gentleman at the front desk recommended a decent restaurant at the end of the street (last one on the left). We used this hotel just as a resting place and it served it's purpose. The breakfast wasn't anyhting to brag about either.
“Nice European Hotel”
This was a nice European Hotel. Excellent breakfast, location, service. Across the street from the subway and down the street from the Colosseum, the location would be hard to beat. American travelers not used to tiny rooms, beds, and bathrooms might be put off but it was pretty standard for my trips outside the US. They only had wired internet which put my wireless devices off. My only complaint would be the shower which was small, had just a hand sprayer, and the shower curtain didn't even reach the bottom of the shower. Even after getting over that water was going to get everywhere (which the house service would clean up), having to use one hand to constantly hold the sprayer made it awkward to use. Still, if I went back to Rome, I'd put them at the front of consideration as a place to stay again.
