Quirky hotel just outside the centre of RomePosted 30/11/2013
Pros: Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet, being slightly further out of the centre of Rome.
Cons: Could do with a bigger breakfast area. I imagine in summer this area could get very crowded when the hotel is full. Not a problem in November.
Location: Just outside the centre of Rome. Plenty of pizzerias/restaurants nearby. All the major sites within 15 minutes walking distance.
Booked this hotel for a trip in late November 2013. Chose it because the hotel was reasonably cheap, a little further out than the centre of Rome (Monti district), but not too far out that all the sights couldn't be visited on foot (all easily accessible within 15 minutes). Took less than an hour to walk (very leisurely) to the Vatican. Very easy to walk to from Termini station (less than 15 minutes). You have to go through a little courtyard, then up to the third floor of the building to reach the hotel, which is one floor of an apartment block. There was building work and scaffolding when we stayed, but this didn't impact on our stay at all. Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast was limited, but enjoyable nonetheless. Breakfast area was quite small, however, so I imagine in summer when hotels are fuller, it might not be possible to get a seat.

Good place to stay.Posted 19/09/2013
Room was small but clean, quite and located at a good location. We did not need any public transportation during our 2 day stay in Rome. The staff was very friendly. There was no wifi in the rooms but it was available in the lobby area.

Excellent, centrally located hotel in Rome.Posted 09/09/2013
Pros: Central location, friendly & helpful staff, clean rooms, new & fresh decor.
Cons: The Wi-Fi signal could be improved - although it is free the speed is unacceptable (often taking minutes just to receive 1 email).
Location: Centrally located for Rome's sites. Less than 10mins walk to the train station (Termini) and Trevi Fountain!
This hotel is small (only about 17 rooms I believe) but it was very comfortable for our 5 day stay in Rome. The hotel was recommended to us due to it's central Rome location and the recommendation was spot on - you are in walking distance of all the major sites. We only used the metro line once and that was to get over the river to Vatican City. The rest of the time we walked (Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum etc etc) The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful - they even loaned us some pliers to help break into our suitcase when we lost the key! :) Breakfast is a simple continental affair but it was nevertheless nice and fresh every morning. A map is provided to all guests and the staff are happy to discuss directions with you regarding where you wish to visit - they also book tables at restaurants or taxis for you. We felt that the hotel was very secure and didn't feel the need to use the provided safe. To get to your room someone would have to go through a solid outer door, through a courtyard, up onto the 3rd floor, past the 24hr reception, through your key entry door and into your room. Overall a very good hotel and we will be staying here again next time we are in Rome.

Adequate hotel in very good locationPosted 07/09/2013
Location: Good location near enough to walk to all major sites - Colosseum, Pantheon, Roman Fort, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. Good bus links to Vatican.
Hotel was well situated for sightseeing, we visited in September and it was very hot so we were pleased it was close to public and tourist bus stops. Also close enough to walk to all major sites except the Vatican. Rooms small but comfortable. Breakfast room not really adequate - very small and crowded. Breakfast very poor.

Good price for the location.Posted 16/08/2013 on Hotels.com
Start with the cons: small, extremely uncomfortable bed and the complimentary breakfast was really just bread and coffee. That being said it is very good value for the location. The staff were nice and helpful and we had no issues other than the bed. The bathroom was very nice and recently renovated. The AC worked great in the middle of a super hot Rome summer. It was what we needed - a cheap place to crash.

TerriblePosted 28/07/2013 on Hotels.com
The only pro that comes to mind is the location. We were able to walk to everywhere in one day which was ideal. The hotel itself is easy to find from the train station. Within the first hour of arriving we discovered the bad service. At the time of our stay the elevator was broken so we had to carry luggage up three flights of stairs. Petty but still a nuisance. The room itself was an ok size, although the bathroom was barely big enough for one person. The bed was terribly hard and uncomfortable, the noise from outside wasn't lessened by the window, and there were muddy footprints on the wall. We enquired about booking tickets for the Colosseum, and after the receptionist closed out of Facebook he went onto Google and clicked on any random link (as if we hadn't already checked Google ourselves). After the first night of little to no sleep, we complained and the response we got was 'sorry we're full.' We also met only two staff members that spoke broken English. We considered looking for another hotel for our last night but decided not to, and we were given two extra pillows - not that they made much difference, we still didn't get much sleep. Overall I was not happy to pay for our stay. Neither of us would go there again or recommend to anyone.

One to recommendPosted 23/07/2013
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Excellent location
This hotel is a little gem. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always wishing you good morning and providing information. The rooms are spacious enough with working air-con (godsend) and television. Beds were made everyday, and towels folded and hung up (I previously read it they were changed everyday however they are not, only changed once during 1 weeks stay, however that is not a problem). We didn't have any problem with anything during stay at all except the lift which didn't work at all-absolute nightmare when arriving or leaving with luggage. Due to being in late 20's it wasn't a problem otherwise (just showed us how unfit we were) however if older this would have been a huge problem. Lift was being repaired however it didn't help us at time. Breakfast is simple and the same everyday however for what we paid we couldn't complain. Fresh croissants, bread, brioche and orange juice with water, tea and coffee and cereal also being provided. The location of this hotel is fantastic! The only place we didn't walk to was The Vatican city as partner had sore back and is a little distance however the number 64 bus took us right there and for 1.50 euro who could complain, perfect! Everything else was within walking distance. As well as this hotel being fantastic I would also recommend the restaurant Esti Esti Esti which is to the left when leaving the hotel, superb food, superb waiting staff and cheap! closed on a Monday. Our favourite little place :) Overall, a great stay!
