Excellent central hotel, very comfortable and classic. Beautiful decor. Being close to the famous sights eg 10 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, we were concerned that it might be noisey but very calm and quiet. Definitely recommend this delightful hotel, a great base for a trip to Rome. A lovely buffet breakfast.
From arriving to leaving this hotel it is perfection!! On arrival we were given a lovely glass of bubbly while the friendly staff give you a detailed map and tips on tours and great restaurants. Then shown to our room, we had been upgraded to a suite, it was fantastic, we even had a Jacuzzi and sun terrace......what a start.
The room was really special and we had all amenities. Breakfast was nice with choice of cold buffet also a menu of hot dishes. This is a Michelin star restaurant and breakfast did not disappoint. Along with sampling the breakfast during our stay, we also tried the mojito from the bar......fantastic, even better if you take them up on the roof terrace bar.....the views of Rome are stunning.
The first Rome Art Hotel is a stunning peaceful oasis in a busy, busy city. Its professional and friendly staff are there on hand for whatever you need. Cant wait to return.
We really liked the staff at this hotel. They upgraded our room when we checked in and were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We needed to check out at 4 am to make an early flight, and they remembered to ask us the night before if we needed a taxi (which showed up right on time), and also offered to send a covered breakfast plate to the room at 11 pm since we were going to leave before the morning's breakfast service.
The room was extremely comfortable, and the location is very convenient - it's right by the Barberini metro station, and it's really easy to walk to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon or the Borghese Museum from the hotel.
an excellent hotel in the center of Rome. Walking distance to most of the attractions such as the coliseum, trajans column....etc. My wife and I stayed for a week and what really made our stay was the staff of the hotel. They were very polite, friendly and went out of their way to help you with anything you needed. We arrived early (9am) for our check-in (2pm) and staff stored our luggage in a seperate room while we explored Rome and when we did check-in, our luggage was already in our room. I needed an outlet adapter for my computer charge plug and they were able to find one a few days later. Breakfast was good, more than continental, but a little less than a full american style breakfast , but, hey it's Rome, your not there for the breakfast. I would definitely recommend the hotel for the location, staff and cleanliness. But they do need an ironing board in the rooms.
Cannot complain about anything. This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at in Rome on this trip and the last on the entire holiday & was the better of the 2 in Rome. The rooms were so clean & cozy, even though small, & the reception staff very obliging. It gets even better at breakfast with such a good selection & great coffee. Would probably look for this hotel again if I returned to Rome as we also enjoy staying in historic areas & good selection of restaurants nearby. The hotel offered to help book a taxi back to the airport but that was not necessary as a further benefit was the Metro station was close enough for us to pull our suitcases to & pick up a train all the way to FCO Airport (changeover to the Leonardo Express at Termini).
We couldn't have been more pleased. The place has a rather inconspicuous exterior and a lovely boutique ambiance so it doesn't feel like being in a big, touristy hotel, but rather a more personal, neighborhood experience. It felt like a local luxury stay. The staff were amazing and very accommodating. They almost anticipated our needs before we knew them! There is an ancient Roman crypt on the ground floor that the hotel preserved and has open to guests which was very unique and interesting! And we were lucky and got a fabulous (and free!) upgrade to their new 2-floor luxury apartment so we of course loved that! Great location, we would recommend it to our friends.
I chose the hotel due to its favourable recent reviews and am really glad I did. The hotel room, whilst small, was adequate for what we needed - a base in the city - and it was literally round the corner from the 2 things I wanted to see: The Spanish Steps and Caffe Greco. Within walking distance of major sites and all transit facilities, this hotel was perfect for a short break. Hotel staff were really helpful, breakfast was lovely, if a little repetitive, and the Nespresso-esque coffee machine in the room meant we never had to suffer rubbish coffee. Fabulous little hotel and one I will be returning to.
