“Perfect for a nice weekend in Rome”
I don't usually review but I was suitably impressed with this hotel to do so. It was difficult to find a cheap hotel in the center of Rome but I like being within walking distance of everything so I can really see the city so I wanted somewhere to use as a base to see the city not as a place to snuggle away the days and this place was perfect. Pro's: - Within 5 min walking distance of Termini Station (Access to direct Airport Train etc) - Within 15 to 20 minutes nice walk of all Romes Central Attractions (Ruins/Trevi Fountain etc...) - Close to Metro at Termini Station for access to Vatican, Non Central Areas - Room was clean, had a spacious en-suite with good shower and TV - Friendly reception open 24 hours a day ideal for late check ins - Nice Breakfast included in price (Cereal, Fruit, Croissant, Breads) - Feels Secure as it's on 2nd Floor - Pizza shops and restaurants just outside hotel (Beer sold in Pizza Shops :) ) - Wireless and also a computer in reception Cons: - TV only showed Italian channels (but big brother and x factor Italian is easy enough to pick up if you look at what the hands are saying) - Wireless didn't seem to reach my room Conculsion: Would highly recommend this hotel for people who are looking for a basic, clean and comfortable hotel in the centre of Rome.
“Great hotel for family of 4.”
Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in March. Convenient location near Termini on a pretty quiet street. Room was nice, warm and clean. WiFi in hotel. Computer available if needed. Lots of warm water for showers. Breakfast was lovely. Rome is quite walkable. Great restaurant around corner called La Famiglia. We would definitely stay here again!
“Good place even with family”
Stayed with my wife and 13-year old daughter 4 nights early April. Distance: 5-10 min walk from train station/metro (Roma Termini) Building: Old building Room: very clean with clean bathroom. Window blocker to block light worked so well that I thought it was still midnight at 10:00 AM! Space: small but enough Amenities: wireless Internet access (worked in room) soap shampoo towel hair dryer in bathroom. A closet with many hangers in room. A table and 1 or 2 chairs. Bath: clean. Very small space for shower, no bathtub. IMPORTANT: Was fine for us but if you are obese you may not be able to pass its door or may not fit in it. Staff: nice, speak some English. Breakfast: little better than typical Inn in US. Bread, crossaint jelly. Cheese Nutella cereal yoghurt milk orange juice. Coffee or tea. Safety: we felt safe, no issues NEGATIVE: they made the bed every day but didn't change the sheets at all. Me sheet had a mark so I could tell Overall: good place, would stay again
“Our Roman Holiday”
This hotel is on the second floor of an apartment building so it is a little difficult to find but worth the effort. Security is great as one must use a buzzer at the door to identify yourself so that the door is unlocked. The access to the hotel is up the stairs or via a very quaint iron grille elevator. Very Audrey Hepburn. We stayed for 3 nights and loved it. The continental breakfast is sufficient and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in September so welcomed the airconditioning. The hotel is near the station so is convenient. There are many eating places around but do your homework as some have much better quality food and service than others.
“Just OK...nothing special”
Hotel was close to Termini station which was good. Also, there were numerous small shops nearby for souvenir shopping. However, the hotel was very noisy (tiles on the floor bounce the sound around) and our room was right over the main door from the street. When the door closed it was VERY loud. Also, the street noise and inside noise were very loud in the late evening. Breakfast consisted of croissants, bread, juice, tea, yogurt...simple but adequate I suppose. Room was spacious for us (2 adults, 2 kids) but not bright or welcoming. It was only OK...if staying for more than one night, I'd look for something a little more comfortable. Also, if our cabbie/chauffeur hadn't known to ring to get in and tell us that the reception desk was on the second floor, we wouldn't have known how to enter. Front signage is inadequate. Would I stay again?? Depends on price and availability at other hotels!
“Convenient to train station.”
Since we were in Rome to see the sights, the room was adequate for our needs.
