We stayed there for only 1 night. Our stay was really enjoyable. The hotel host made us feel at home and gave us lovely recommendations on routes and dinning options. The room was just the right temperature and very comfortable. The hotel is walk-able distance to all the popular sites which we enjoyed. I highly recommend this gem.

Very nice hotel, reasonably priced in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere. The staff was very nice and very helpful, making the stay for us very pleasant.

Perfect spot for exploring Rome, away from crowds!
This place was perfect!!! I feel very fortunate to have discovered this wonderful hotel hide-a-way in the best part of Rome. The location for our visit to Rome was ideal. We were in the most beautiful neighborhood, which was quite by day an then turned in to a magical place in the evening. Walking distance to the riverside, which was wonderful as we were able to walk the beautifully lit river at night and enjoy the riverside summer festival. Also, the small neighborhood restaurants and bars are plentiful and picturesque. I truly wished we had more time. Further, this hotel is walking distance to the main sites and we did go visit those, but were SOOOOOO happy we did not stay near the crowds. Finally the service was excellent! Kind, friendly, informative, and generous with suggestions and accomodations. I recommend this place and would stay here again in a future visit:)))) Thank you for the warm welcome!

Absolutely beautiful room in this lovely guesthouse run by the incredbly helpful Michaela and Elisa. We felt very safe (behind three locked doors once you are in your room!) and the location could not have been more perfect. The room itself was gorgeous, well-appointed and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. I would absolutely stay here again.

What a wonderful place. The room was well appointed with everything you could want. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had room 4 which has a balcony and is at the back of the building, so it would most likely have been quieter than a room facing the main road. The hotel's location was perfect, with all the main tourist attractions within easy walking distance. There is a good selection of places to eat in the immediate area. Through the wonderfully friendly and helpful Michaela, we arranged to be collected at the airport and dropped off again at the end of our break, which was very convenient. On arrival we were greeted warmly and were provided with a map of the area, along with a list of excellent tried and tested restaurants which was very useful. We were visiting Rome, mainly to attend a wedding, however on the day of the wedding the taxi drivers were on strike which made getting to the wedding would have been difficult. Michaela worked her magic and was able to find a car and driver to get us to the church. We can't thank you enough for all your assistance Michaela! If you're looking for somewhere to stay, this hotel is highly recommended and you won't be disappointed. A Trastevere de M.E. is now our place to stay when we are in Rome and we will be back!

Our last stop on a wonderful trip through Italy. The fun now behind us, we just needed a place to gather ourselves and get Covid tests done before flying home. However, it turned out that staying here was an unexpected bonus. The reviews and pictures were very accurate. A beautiful and comfortable room with attentive and helpful owners and staff on hand. We rested so well. On the doorstep of Trastevere where we spent two days wandering, enjoying the restaurants and the ambiance of this eclectic and distinctive district. What a gem this is in Rome. We will return and, next time, for longer.

Great stay in testing times.
We had to re-book this trip from March because of the Covid lockdown restrictions. Elisa and Michaela were superb hosts, contactable throughout the delay, informed us of any updates and kept us up to speed with the situation in Rome. They arranged very efficient airport transfers and also booked us a restaurant for our first night as we were late to arrive. They also provided useful maps and a list of good restaurants to visit. The building is in a great location for exploring central Rome, the rooms are bright, clean and spacious and they offered a safe environment with the current Covid regulations. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Our stay was perfect. The owner was super helpful in showing us a map of locations to visit along with restaurant recommendations. We also booked a car to and from the airport which was so helpful! We were traveling with a baby and the room had a crib ready for us. We also rented a pram from TravelBaby which was conveniently waiting in our room.

The host was wonderful. The room was big. We were within walking distance of just about everything. Lots of cafes and eateries near by. It was noise on the street side but we were warned. Not all rooms are noisy. I would definitely stay again.

Had an amazing time. Elisa kindly provided lists of gluten free restaurants, which were close by. Great location, close to river and lost of lovely places to sit and people watch. Room was large, clean and had windows opening on to main road (noise not an issue). Would definitely stay here again.

This was a great stay! We stayed here for one quick night in Rome before our flight out and It was perfect! We needed a break from Apartments and needed a hotel feel with some tlc. The property had everything a hotel would yet a small feel even a small lift. Check in was easy and the manager even reached out to see when we would be arriving and preference on rooms. The area was great , not as touristy as the main area of Rome! Restaurants and bars nearby were delicious and fun. I would definitely recommend and stay here again if ever in Rome. Thank you !

The staff and owners of Trastevere Da M.E were extremely accommodating, nice, and overall fantastic! We accidentally input the wrong number of guests when booking through Hotels.com, however Stephania was fantastic, setting up the room and fixing our mistake without any problems. The room itself was clean, spacious, and in a great location to explore Trastevere and Rome as a whole. No complaints from us and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My stay at the Trastevere was great. The room is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and the owner provided superb hospitality. It is located in a great area not too far from downtown Rome and convenient to the airport. The train can be a little loud but after touring the area...you should have no problem sleeping. only stayed one night but will try to stay here on my return.

Michaela is a wonderful host. Lots of good communication with her and she was very eager to make our stay a happy one. The room was large, especially for Rome. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. The location is wonderful. We walked to everything and loved to eat in our neighborhood every night.

Boutique hotel
This is a small boutique type hotel with a good location. The 2 cousins who manage this property are wonderful and arrange for transportation and are very customer service oriented. The only complaint is the Wifi is not the best. The room is a bit small and because of the location, the streetcars are very noisy. Overall, it is very clean and modern and very well managed.

Excellent! The staff were helpful and friendly. The amenities were very clean, very modern, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great, next to the bridge to the center of town. The area around the hotel is great too, with cafes, trees, and transportation close by.

It is a unique hotel in that it is a portion of a floor in a residential building. I think there is another location that I didn’t see. So it feels from the street that you are entering an apartment building, which I found nice, that you dont feel as touristy. There’s no hotel placard outside, and you have a regular key to the outside door. The staff, one person I saw that was for registration, she was super nice. I felt like they had an efficiency about them since there wasn’t a bunch of staff. Which again, I appreciated because that’s definitely how you keep costs down. Room was great. Softest pillows out of the three different hotels I stayed in. You have access to the ac, which was crucial (A previous hotel I stayed in it was locked, and not on, and hot). Bathroom was clean, tidy, organized. Great shower. Small balcony with a table and two chairs, not a breathtaking view, but there was a giant ancient brick wall ruin right there, so there was definitely a romance about it. I highly recommend.
