Beautiful part of Tassie, great space and hosts
We travelled as a group of 4 friends to participate in an event in the Boat Harbour area. The guesthouse was spacious and located in a beautiful part of Tassie. It is about 25 minutes drives from pubs and cafes in Wynyard and only a few minutes drive from the beautiful Boat Harbour and Sisters Beach areas. It is a little close to the Bass Highway (which did mean it was a little noisy at times, but our hosts had left earplugs!) but otherwise a great location, and the geese in the fields and on the pond behind the house were gorgeous! The house itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Liam and Alex were very responsive and generous hosts - great communication before we arrived and a lovely gift of a bottle of wine and some eggs for breakfast. The only downside was the dog barking next door during the night, and the dim lighting in kitchen/dining area (which wasn't a big thing in the scheme of things). Overall, highly recommended!

Comfortable but a little lacking
Comfortable however could have been cleaner. Location impacted by noisy road and owners living in adjoining rooms. Needs sound proofing particularly between adjoining sections.

Simply Outstanding
Liam and Alex are the best hosts that we have experienced in our travels. They communicated extremely well before, during and after our stay. They went above and beyond what they needed to, for which we are very grateful. The property itself could not be more perfect for our large group of 6. It is amazing how reflective one can be with a nice early morning coffee and a back deck! The night sky will leave you in awe. Our family cannot recommend Rocky Cape more highly. Situated in a beautiful part of Tassie,made us want to come back for a longer experience. Thank you Liam and Alex for setting the bar so high. Cheers

Perhaps think about a small pellet fire or similar for lounge for winter travellers
During a terrible weather event, with power outage, our hosts were wonderfully kind with offers of extra blankets, torch, candles and food.

The property was not advertised as owners living on site. Whilst out attending our event the owner messaged to say they had been in our rooms to turn on heating and elec.blankets. Not happy. The overall cleanliness, inside and outside of the property was very poor and I would say not Covid clean. Pillows were huge, hard and unusable for us.

Thank you for your review, however we do state in our property description that our home is seven bedrooms divided into two, being the old teachers residence and the old school in which we live. I have now changed the heading of our description to state that we live on site, just in case guests in future do not read the full property description. Our home was professionally cleaned last week with lounge and carpets. All surfaces are cleaned with Detol disinfectant as per government COVID advice. I apoligise about the outside of the home however again in the property description we state that we are a working farm and that is what a working farm looks like. It was disappointing that you left blood stained sheets. You should have told us so we could clean them, but as you did not we had to throw away $200 sheets. Again we are so sorry that we turned your heating on, but it was a very cold night and just wanted you to be comfortable. We now know that it was wrong to do so and have learnt from our mistake. Our pillows we brand new memory foam bamboo which cost $40 each. We did however have cheaper softer Tontein pillows in the walk in robe with fresh pillow cases. You were our very first guest and we just wanted everything to be very clean and comfortable for you.
