A great value overnight stopover, right in the heart of the city. We were pleased with the room which was clean and spacious. Staff really friendly and helpful. Parking on street not a problem, you have to pay morning and afternoon so it cost us 4euro. We opted for the hotel breakfast which was fine. There is no aircon so I was glad we had brought a fan! Our room had a balcony onto the street, so it was nice to have the window open but note the garbage truck is coming in the middle of the night!

Classic French hotel with friendly staff. Nothing flash but ideal for the price. Breakfast area is very small, but plenty of dining options locally.

So and so for business trip
When I arrived at the hotel, staff said the hotel was a problem and recommended another hotel with one star higher than it and let me know the detailed location where it was very close. She kindly said I had only to say I was moved from this hotel to other hotel. I moved to another hotel and checked in. Unfortunately, there was neither air conditioner nor table. Good point is there are many restaurants very near the hotel.

This is far more than a 2 star hotel. We arrived at 23:30 after a long drive and the staff were kind and excellent overall - nothing was too much trouble! Equally we forgot something at the hotel and it again was no problem - they are mailing it to us. Courteous and going the extra mile - with parking and right around the corner from The Cathedral - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hotel Cecyl and we will definitely stay again onour way through Reims.

Hotel is getting shabby and needs an update. Carpet is shabby, blackout curtains were so wrinkled they didn’t close properly ( kindof defeats the purpose). Staff were friendly and helpful. Good central location in downtown Reims.

Hello, We are sad to read your comments, In each room of the hotel, curtains are in place and desd curtains opaque Window shutters are forbidden in hotels in FRANCE in case of firefighters intervention. I was bitten on my entire body by bedbugs in this hotel. My bites were so severe that I had to seek medical attention in Paris. It was A horrific experience that I wouldn’t wish on my worst nightmare.The Staff was not sympathetic in the least, even telling me that it’s not the first time that this has happened. I have not been offered any kind of compensation from this hotel even though my entire vacation was ruined.

Would stay again if not for huge weird mural in Rm
Rooms are small but fantastic other than the weird huge murals in the room. I had a lady looking down on me which made me rather uncomfortable. and the bed faces a mirror which was kind of weird as well but not as weird as the mural. Other than the lack of aircon and a very warm autumn in the France. The place is clean, neat and tidy. Reception is really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is pretty good (lots of good cheese and spreads). Fantastic location as well. Has lift!

Excellent location, car park adjacent 16 euros a night 24 hours and ctv. Room102 is tiny avoid, shower was broken for all of stay despite repeated promises to fix. Breakfast limited continental style but was fresh and replenished

Great location, colourful rooms, but musky toilet.
Hotel location is Super central, close to train station and a lot of dining options nearby. Room given was yellow but we request to change to purple and was able to change for us without any top up or trouble. However, after we return after dinner, we realised that the bathroom has this musky, stale and moldy smell which we can't get away even we open our window and air the room. Didn't make any complaints to the hotel as it wasn't already midnight and we are checking out the next morning. Otherwise, this hotel would have been great for its price.

Excellent 2 star hotel
After doing extensive research on the internet for hôtels in Reims, we decided on the 2 star Hotel Cecyl. The location was perfect, a short walk from the train station, and in the center of shopping and eating. The hotel was newly redecorated, very clean, and the room had many outlets for all our devices. The room was small, but not as small as some 2 star hotels. We had chosen a ‘comfort’ level room. The hotel graciously kept our bags so we could find lunch while the room was made ready as we arrived early. For the price it is a great place to spend a couple of nights in Reims.

Fantastic location, right in centre, walking distance of cathedral, bars, restaurants etc. Room was VERY small but just about adequate. Good breakfast. Tiniest lift I've ever been in. Ok for an overnighter but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

Great place
This is an ideal place from which to explore Reims, right in the pedestrian shopping area, 3 blocks from the cathedral. Discounted parking next door. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and quite comfortable. At 211 sq feet/20m, they are larger than what you normally get. Lots of good restaurants close by. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The stay at hotel Cecyl that wasn't !
When we arrived at the 2 star hotel Cecyl we were told that there was a problem with the WC in our room and the hotel had transferred us to another hotel without extra charge.We walked 100 yds to the 3 star hotel Crystal and stayed there so apart from the reception area and staff ( both fine ) cannot comment on the hotel Cecyl. The hotel Crystal was fine, brand new room although it was small for 2 people. The issue of hotel transfer seems to have been one others have encountered but did not cause us any problems at all.

Modern, clean, comfortable hotel which deserves a much higher rating! Keeping it low is advantageous to hotel guests because of its inexpensive room rate. Loved it!

Nice little hotel
Service was great, fantastic location but our room was very small for two people to move around comfortably. The dark green paint on the walls didn't help with the cramped feeling. Will definitely return but will book a larger room.
