Great resort - super clean, friendly staff, great food! Would recommend this resort to anyone looking to visit the Dominican Republic. Only note - if you are in a ground floor room & big storms roll through, don't leave anything on the floor by the sliding door as the rain will seep in along the grout lines.

Pros: Beautiful pools and beach front. Well maintained resort and always clean. Very friendly staff. Lots of activities to do and excursions nearby. Internal transportation to different parts of the resort. Drinks at the bars are great. Cons: Food was not great, but there are a lot of options at the buffets so you are bound to find something you like. A la carte restaurants are not worth it. Rooms need updated. Definitely a language barrier if you don’t speak Spanish.

We had a great stay here, but, realized a half hour before we were leaving that $420.00 in cash was missing from my luggage. I had that money in my room the whole time we were on vacation and had everything packed up the night before and the next morning the money was gone.

My recent stay at the hotel left much to be desired. The staff seemed rather unfriendly and unaccommodating, particularly when it came to fulfilling simple requests like getting towels. Despite repeated attempts, the service in this regard always fell short. On the bright side, the food was passable, but overall, the lack of hospitality and subpar service overshadowed any positive aspects of the experience. Will definitely not be returning to this hotel.

Upon arrival the person checking me in literally played me into giving him a 100 dollar tip because he was giving me an upgraded room. That wasn’t true! The room wasn’t bad but it was extremely difficult to get more drinks in the room. They even accessed the room while we had the do not disturb sign on the door. I wouldn’t stay there again. The food wasn’t good! A few good things about my stay was that we had access to the other Barceló and we explored everything there. The food was better from the buffet and the restaurants. The entertainment team from the adults only was good and they worked their butts off.

This was our second visit to this resort and we were happy to get our rooms in the area we requested. The staff were very professional and personable. Our favorite place for lunch was the La Briza right on the beach. We also played golf which I would recommend for the experience. It was a challengingly, beautiful course! We enjoyed swimming with the turtles in the ocean and watching the dolphins jump. We would highly recommend this resort to others!
