"Wish list is shortening"
The hoyptel proved to be an excelllent location for the tours we had booked: Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree rain forest. The staff was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The dining room staff was very courteous and provided a good explanation of the menus. All in all it was a very good experience including a tropical rainfall!

"Great Resort"
The Resort facilities are outstanding, the pools in particular are clean with sand style views from most rooms. Our stay was wonderful for a 4 day break, we would certainly return given the level of service, location, and resort type facilities.

"Stylish boutique hotel room"
I really enjoyed my short stay at Gratitudes Port Douglas earlier this week. The room was so well appointed, they didn't forget a thing, ipad, coffee machine, modern & chic decor, loved it. I was travelling alone and was in a QS balcony room. I loved being able to see all the atmosphere of Port Douglas' famous Macrossan St from from balcony and to be able to duck out to the many shops or restaurants/cafes at any time. The owners were so friendly & welcoming. Highly recommended for solo travellers, people on business, friends and couples.

During the dry season the temperature is generally between 17 and 26 degrees Celsius, and in the green season the temperature can rise to about 33 degrees Celsius. Swimming should only take place within marked enclosures during this time.

Getting around Port Douglas and the surrounding area is made possible by shuttle buses, bicycle rentals, and rental cars. If you make a visit to the Daintree Rainforest, be sure to mind the rules. Do not feed the wildlife, refrain from picking flowers or plants, and stay safe by keeping to the boardwalks.
