"Judith is the very best hostess who will go out of her way to make sure you have a wonderful, welcoming experience not only at her guesthouse but the whole area. She's so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. She scheduled a night boat ride on the Decalachao River which runs through her property to see the fireflies, stars (literally out of this world), and luminescent plankton. I was heading to another spot the next day and she went out of her way to contact the hotel to arrange my boat pick up at the Decalachao pier and arranged transport there for me and my luggage (and on the return trip too). The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the views of the river and surrounding area were beautiful, and the food was generous and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and hope to return someday soon!"

"The place is amazing. It is truly a beautiful resort. Kat and Francheska, the bartenders at Luna bar and by the pool, were both great! They made my stay so much more enjoyable as I was traveling alone. I’m really glad I made trip to Sunlight Resort."

"The whole stay was amazing. Staff was great and helpful. They have arranged spa, tours, room service, early breakfast delivery and packed lunch, and transportation for us. The room has a breathtaking view and the design has a mediterranean feel to it. Very unique. Now, this hotel is very far from the town and each way cost 2,500. That’s the biggest issue we had. Not their fault. All transpo service offers that price. Also the hotel is a bit run down and needs maintenance. There’s lots of tiny cracks and holes so there are lots of bugs and geckos inside the room. Be ready with bug spray. The view from the window would have been great but the windows need cleaning. Overall though, we liked our stay. We would come back"
