Great for Polignano, Monopoli & Bari exploring
If you are looking for great location for Polignano visit, secure parking and great continental breakfast and price-performance, this is the place. We wanted to stay 1 night but then stayed 3 days.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. But I went to visit there late in the evening I couldn't find the entrance because I couldn't see the hotel sign. Users will feel uncomfortable in the dark.

Disappointing stay
Despite looking nice from the outside, the rooms & services are very disappointing. Nothing of what you would expect in a 4* hotel (for the price you are paying) is provided (slippers, coffee machine, enough water etc…). There was a bad smell from sewage in the bathroom and the AC was very loud. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel

DO NOT stay here. I had a tragic family death and the hotel has been horrible to me. They are charging me for 3 rooms even though I canceled. I have never experience rude customer service like this. They don’t want to speak to me and said it’s my problem. They don’t care at all. They refunded my sister and not me. How does that even make sense? Will never stay here and will never recommend this hotel.

Staff at the desk were exceptionally nice (and tolerant of my Italian even though they spoke English quite well). The room for 2 could have had an extra chair and we wish there were a heated towel rack. But it was quiet and comfortable and large with lots of daylight.we are glad we stayed there. The shower is special.

Loved the property. Gated entrance, nice landscaping. Parking was included and it was easy to get to other tourist areas by car due to entrance right by the freeway. Breakfast had a good variety.

The hotel was some distance from the town of Polignano a Mare but the Tuk Tuks were usually available for a fee of 10 euros There were a couple of good restaurants nearby, one on the beach at the marina and another a short distance further, also overlooking the sea. The breakfast and lunch choice at the hotel was very good but dinner options were somewhat limited. The staff were excellent as also were the two swimming pools and the rooms.

The idea of this hotel/resort was great. The pool was awesome - just FREEZING. Unfortunately in our room there were ants everywhere!!!!! All in our room, tiny ones, but a million of them climbing through the door cracks, on our wall and in our bed!! Beware!!! Staff also wasn’t very helpful when we needed assistance, very unapproachable. Hotel is far from everything in the area and taxi’s are so rare in this area and so expensive if you do end up finding one. Definitely need a car if you choose to stay here.

Great hotel for a 2-3 night stay at the beginning and end of a Puglia adventure. Hotel has all the amenities you could wish for. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Fabulous swimming pool. Big comfortable rooms. We walked into Polignano every night and one suggestion for improvement would be that the hotel market the bar & restaurant as a more appealing focal point.

wish I'd stayed home
I booked a poolside room based on photos showing a view of the pool. Room did not have view and smelled a little of toilet. Decided not to worry. But then I learned that the advertised wifi did not reach the area, I needed to work so asked reception for help. They knew that the wifi did not reach that area and 'upgraded' me to a room in the main building, with a view over the main road, road noise day and night. Here the wifi exisits, but is insufficient to run facebook, or a videocall. My phone 4G was faster. Each time you enter the room and put the keycard in the slot, the electric switched on for 1 minute, enough time to undress, get into the shower etc. Then the electric goes off. I called reception and they were able to over ride from there and told me problem was solved. This persisted for 48 hours - it is quite unpleasant being plunged into darkness. The self closing door on my room didnt work - luckily i noticed and never left myself / belongings unsafe. Although 4 star with photos of tables on balconies/ patios, hotel does not have room service or in-room coffee making facilities. Toiletries were provided (not conditioner though!). The body lotion was half empty when I arrived. The spa is not accessible to lone travellers, you pay for the 'experience' of getting into that area, but minimum 2 people. Takes approx 30 mins to walk to town, but litter strewn, unsafe at night. 10 euro for tuktuk to town. Staff were mostly lovely. Coffee was good.

Clean and spacious
Very nice hotel with individual bungalows spread loosely around a central swimming pool and reception/restaurant building. Very neat and well kept. Morning breakfast decent if not amazing. The pool has the most amazing tiled floor I have ever seen, whoever laid that was a pro! Rooms very clean, comfy extra large beds, friendly staff 5 mins drive from Poliganano yet very secluded.

Second time around
Second time here and still magical even during COVID conditions, the team work very hard indeed to make it all work. Love the pool area and rooms, TukTuk at night to the centre is a must!

Great location - a must stay in Polignano.
We stayed for two nights at the end of a three week driving holiday but wished we had allocated more nights. The Cala Ponte is a fantastic hotel, very easy to access and delivers on every level - big clean rooms, great staff, lovely restaurant (breakfast & lunch), pool area / grounds exceptional. You will see some reports that the hotel is too far from Polignano centre: we didn’t find this an issue at all. The walk takes 25 minutes most of which is along a flat safe cycle path with views across the rocks and sea. We walked it both ways during the day and then in the evening walked into Polignano and paid €6 for a tuk tuk back. We will definitely stay again for more nights on our next trip to Puglia.

Dead fly’s in the oil, 1 iron for whole hotel and no ironing board , no room service , pressing service burnt one shirt and marked the other which hadn't been worn , food terrible , location poor , I wouldn’t eat in the hotel as it’s just not edible food. Hotel had such great promise it needs to be taken over and run by someone who understands the hotel / service industry

The hotel is beautiful. Property is well maintained. Rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Location is a short 15 minute walk into town. Hotel is located right by the ocean. Plenty of little rocky beaches to go to.

Quiet place, perfect for relaxing holiday
The resort is very nice and beautifully done outside. The pool area is immaculate Wish the service was a little better. Rooms are spacious, each has outside seating. The hotel does not provide shampoo, sleepers, robes. Very unusual for a 4-star property.
