Visited for one night en-route to the channel ports from Toulouse.
Very well situated in the centre of town, but access by car not great. Major roadworks & improvements currently taking place make getting there difficult & frustrating. The hotel advises not to use satnav, and I can confirm that it became confused by numerous diversions and narrow one-way streets. Better to print off a good map beforehand. Once the roadworks are complete, it should be easier.
Overnight public parking in the large multi-storey is cheap, reasonably secure and a short walk from the hotel. People with resticted mobility may struggle a little though.
Hotel is clean and has recently been refurbished. The rooms are modern, well appointed and comfortable. Bathroom facilities are good. In this respect, the hotel belies it's two star rating - it is far more comfortable than that.
Elevator to the upper floors is very small and will probably only just accommodate wheelchair users.
The hotel has no bar or eating areas and no overnight staff - a keycard gives access at the front door. If arriving late, let them know and they'll give you an access code to tap in. We went out to eat in one of the numerous bars and restaurants nearby. Very good continental breakfast served in the room in the morning if ordered the night before.
For a short leisure or business stay, the hotel is perfect, but for a longer stay, it's lack of facilities is a little limiting. Recommended and we would go back.

We had a great time staying in this hotel. It's on a great street with lovely restaurants and a metro supermarket type store - close to everything you could possibly need. The room was clean and comfortable and the cleaners went above and beyond each morning (even popping my extremely heavy suitcase on a small stand for me). We spent three very comfortable nights here and I would definitely recommend it.

I stayed at the Ibis centre for 5 nights whilst visiting friends in Poitiers. It was a great base as the location in the town centre is perfect. I was impressed by the comfort and cleanliness of the room, the great breakfasts and by the frienliness and helpfulness of the staff who were really nice without exception. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will be sure to stay there again on my next visit.
Our room was small but clean and comfortable. Reasonable shower etc. Perfect for our needs as visiting daughter on her erasmus year - her flat was just over the road! Staff courteous and friendly. We didn't use the dining area for breakfast but it looked good. Due to brief stay we didn't take advantage of charming little garden at the back either.
This is apparently an old church, so some rooms and common areas have vaulted ceilings from (perhaps) the 16th Century. The room is average size for France, but both adequate and clean. The staff was most helpful, and charming. The location is excellent, both close to the train station and within walking distance of most of Poitiers sights.
There is a restaurant that shares space, but apparently not ownership with the hotel, that is superb. Perhaps the best meal I had while in France (and this is saying something) was in this restaurant. The two (hotel and restaurant) compliment each other (and the fare can be booked to your room). Breakfast is in the hotel, and is perfectly adequate. There's plenty of reading material for those who are alone or who have time to spare.
As stated, the staff is helpful and charming. English is good. I have read comments and reviews that disparage Poitiers as being gruff and cold. I found none of that, but in fact absolutely the opposite (which includes hotel staff). Poitiers is small, but stunning. It seems particularly safe, relative to large metropolises, and in totality is easily walked. Book an extra day in the city, and book it at this hotel.
