“It is not a 4 and a half star not impressed”
Not impressed with the Hotel
“Great Location on the Beach”
Hotel is on a wonderful beach with plenty of eating options however it is a little tired and obviously secures its A list due to little competition.
“Great spot”
This hotel was great and for a very good price. My husband loved the beach location and being able to check the surf from our room. It was very easy to get to different parts of Perth. The only downsides were no wifi in rooms and the the wifi in the lobby and business centre was not working, however the staff were very helpful and let me use the concierge computer for something I urgently had to do.
“Great hotel”
Stayed here on a Sat/Sun night. Service was great, room had a beautiful view over beach. Comfy bed which was huge and late check-out times were appreciated. A little bit out from the more exciting bars, restaurants and cafes such as in Cottesloe/ Freemantle and the CBD.
“Rendezvous Observation City Hotel - run down beach hotel”
Would not recommend it. for the budget traveller at best.
“Good, but past it's prime”
I have stayed at the Rendezvous 3 times now and it is always a comfortable stay. My only complaint is that the overall condition of the hotel no longer justifies the 4.5-5* price. While the rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is decent, the hotel has not been kept up to date very well. The rooms have old TVs and depending on what room you get will depend on what condition the bathroom is in. I have stayed in a room where the bathroom was old but very clean, and I have also stayed in a room where to be honest I wore thongs in the shower due to fear of tinea because it did not look or smell clean at all. I would recommend the hotel to others because it's in a great location, but don't expect very good value for money compared to the Rendezvous 5-10 years ago
“Fawlty Towers handbook”
Where to start? Ignorant staff, almost rude One lift in operation for a hotel that was full Shabby tired looking- everything What was good? Umm - I got to leave?! Avoid You have been warned
“frustrated eventually satisfied”
my experience was a very frustrating one as i was given two different rooms before finally being given the final room which was great and a large upgrade but the whole experience put a bit of a damper on my celebrations
“Really "good" hotel... With a little more loving n staff would be "great"”
This old n a little tired old beauty is still worth a stay. Rooms are large and overall clean tidy and comfortable. Everything worked as expected. We didn't eat here so not sure of food quality. Had a great deal with 3 hrs free Internet per room per day and free local phone calls. This was a nice touch of generosity from the hotel. So often these things are beyond expensive. Pool area is lovely and is a great place to relax. Someone needs to clean the observation windows... Sadly they were dirty. Having to squint through the dirty window to look at the sunset was a shame. The general area gets quite busy do at times there was a bit of noise from cars n pedestrian traffic which was heavy due to being a long weekend. The greatest thing about this hotel is the breathtaking views. For this Aline it is worth a stay. There are a few things that make it not perfect... But are more than worth overlooking. I would definitely stay again.
“Not impressed, very old tired looking hotel”
Rooms are very old and tired, outdated and lacks the maintenance. The doors are on swing hinge and they make the biggest noise when people are opening and closing their doors. Did not try the restaurants as they were not appealing. However, Dome Cafe was great!
