Great Hospitality, Excellent experience
Emma (owner) was lovely and easy going. No problems with us wondering the farm, petting the animals and looking around. Extremely interesting to here about Emma and Marks self-sustainability goals and how they've achieved their progress so far. The animals were all friendly and gave good entertainment. Extremely happy with our weekend away at the farm :)

Great farmstay accommodation
We spent three nights at Blackwattle Farm's rain forest cabin and had a really amazing time. Quiet and peaceful place, tidy and with everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor space and the bbq are excellent additions. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Children loved playing with the dogs and piglet - and feeding the animals. Will definitely return for more!

Beautiful, relaxing home away from home
Arriving at Blackwattle Farm, over a wooden creek crossing and down along a tree-lined track, we were greeted by some very friendly puppies and Wormie, a piglet whose personality is in inverse proportion to his size. Once we had dropped our things at the gorgeous bungalow (which has an excellent iPod playlist by the way), we headed up the hill to meet Emma, our host and owner of the property. At 4pm it was feeding time and we spent a good hour playing, feeding and learning about all the animals on the farm. From the cheeky and playful baby goats, to the aloof alpacas. Our kids had a wonderful time and it was so nice to see them enjoying being on a farm for the afternoon. For the evening we had a bonfire in the backyard, roasting marshmallows and sausages, as well as some seafood we had brought which we cooked on the barbecue. All washed down with a glass of red looking at the stars as the embers died. The bungalow is well insulated and so kept us warm all night long. Overall I would love to have stayed for at least 2 days to make the most of this wonderful farm stay.

Peaceful night
It was my first time to stay at such a cozy and tiny B&B. Everything was clean and tidy. The highlight was the farm, where I saw four alpacas, three cows, several pet pigs and goats. The host was kind and hospitable. We spent a memorable night with a magnificent night sky view and peaceful setting. If you want to have a short term getaway, it will be a best choice definitely.

Emma and Mark have a lovely place
The accommodation is new and well kept. Emma is friendly and feeding the animals was a nice addition. Bed is comfy, breakfast was delightful and I must say better value than others in the area. No regrets. Thank you

Home away from home!
Blackwattle Farm is a quaint little B&B within a five minute drive of Beerwah and a short drive from the hinterland towns, and the coastal towns. Emma is a lovely host who was happy to show us around the farm and answer all our queries, without intruding on our privacy. The breakfast was more than ample and the fresh local fruits were delicious. The cottage comprises a huge sunroom/dining area, together with a delightfully decorated bedroom and gorgeous period-style bathroom. The farm and animal views from the bedroom were a pleasure to wake to! I would definitely recommend a stay at Blackwattle for anyone who would like some R&R. We felt very relaxed after our few nights there.

Thank you for your review and it was lovely to have you stay with us on the farm. As new owners, we try to make improvements where we can and listen to what our guests want. On that note we have bought a much larger TV and installed Foxtel too. We hope you will return to the farm someday and see all the animals again, we should have some new calves in a couple of months. And there will still be plenty of fresh pineapples right from next door for breakfast. Best regards, and safe travels Emma and Mark

Our Beautiful Property is perfectly positioned to take full advantage of all the varied activities that the Sunshine Coast and Hinterland inclusive of the Glasshouse Mountains of South East Queensland offer the visitor. The choices are many and are yours to make the effort to experience. Most visitor’s common complaint is they have not had enough time to do it all!! You announced in a negative tone that the admittance fee to the Famous Australia Zoo which is 5 minutes from us, is too expensive and the Zoos in England were much better, your choice was to boycott this activity. Yet, dozens of English visitors staying with us have enjoyed a wonderful day at Australia Zoo. Prior to your arrival you indicted a keenness to visit Fraser Island. Although it is out of our immediate area, we made a special effort to collect information for you in the way of brochures etc. On presentation to you, you brushed it all aside, stating too much to read and left it all here. Your scoring of our Property is totally contradictory, you score 1/5 as to condition of Property, and 5/5 for comfort of room, everything we offer the Guest is of high standard, extremely clean and in excellent working order. Your suite of Bedroom, Bathroom, Toilet, Sitting Room was serviced daily at no extra charge, and you were provided with dry towels daily. We heard no complaints, and we also noted you ate all of your complimentary breakfast every day with no complaint. Lucky we are unable to score Guests, we did not appreciate you not settling the charge for your personal Laundry.

thanks for your comments which I have had translated to English so that I can understand and they are as follows: "Very friendly hosts, which if one asks for it, much of their interesting life to report can. Very calm situation with great view on the Glass House Mountains. One can observe birds of the Tropics in the paradisiacal garden from the bed" As you say it is wonderful to watch all the beautiful wild birds which visit our Property daily for their seed which we place for them. We are so pleased you had a great stay with us and enjoyed everything, we also enjoyed your Company, please come again.
