“Perfect hotel for us & affordable.”

Great hotel. Everything we needed in Paris for a week. Surprisingly Quiet in a big city. Would go back in a heartbeat.

“A room, nothing else.”

The location of this hotel is its only positive aspect. It must have been a very nice hotel once upon a time but not anymore. Generally speaking, the staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel and the rooms were shabby and dirty. The carpet in the rooms was peeling up around the edges. There was a layer of dirt under the bed, the hutches housing the tv and the armoire were falling apart. Take a room here only if the rooms are being offered for almost free of charge.

“Over priced for what you get.....”

Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Curb appeal to Hotel was awful, building in dire need of new paint, update needed inside with very dated Western Theme. No restaraunt inside hotel. Room mini bar, very sparse. Our room was very clean and comfortable, maid service excellent. Because of location, would probably stay there again. However much to expensive overall for what Hotel itself has to offer.

“Good hotel”

It is in a good location and the hotel is clean and comfortable.

Nightlife

I wouldn't bother going to see Moulin Rouge. We saw a Moulin Rouge spectacular on TV before we booked and were hoping we would get the same level of entertainment. Unfortunately there were only 3 acts - 2 of which were jugglers - both very good and the rest was just a display of half naked women strutting around the stage. There was really no talent involved in what they were doing. So if you want to see this - go to a strip club for a lot cheaper.

“Style, comfort and location”

The Villa Beaumarchais was such a pleasant surprise. We usually like the left bank because of its convenience to the sights and buzzing atmosphere; however, staying on the right bank was so fun and much less noisy. The location to the sights was about the same as what we are used to and the breakfast buffet saved us time and money. Wonderful staff, charming atmosphere and 2 blocks from the metro. You can't beat it!!!! There is a bakery, deli and minimarket all within 1 block radius. Everything you need within arms reach and Place des Vosges which is a beautiful park and attraction as well as Picasso museum, Victor Hugo's home and Carnevalet, which has free admittance. What a gem!!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Area recommendations

Either Latin quarter, Marais, Louvre, Les Halles or St. Germain are the best in my opinion for their locations.

Getting around

Don't bother renting a car. The metro goes everywhere you need.

Must see

Must see Notre Dame, Eiffel tower, Pantheon, Versailles, the Louvre, Musee de Cluny, the church of the Miraculous Medal on Rue du Bac, St. Eustache church, St. Sulpice ( Da Vinci Code fame), Museum D'Orsay, Les Invalides (Napoleon's tomb). And the public gardens, especially Luxembourg. Also can't miss Sacre-Couer in Montmartre.

“NOT a 4 star hotel!”

This is by no stretch of anybody's imagination a 4 star hotel. The room was in very poor condition - marks on the walls, cracked tiles in the bathroom, the tub was patched, and the carpeting was stained. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, but this is a very shabby hotel, and would be more accurately rated 2 stars, certainly not 4.

“Perfect small central Paris Hotel”

“Villa in the 3rd Arron.”

I was very pleased with my stay. It was a clean and simple boutique hotel. The staff spoke English and were very helpful in showing me how to get around town. When i checked out, the clerk even carried my bag to the Metro station! I would definately stay here again. Great area too! They definately made my stay in Paris a great one.

Area recommendations

Le Marais is the perfect area to stay. There are several Metro and bus stations nearby. The Bastille is the perfect place to sit and have lunch or coffee at one of the cafes as you watch the busy life of Paris. The area is busy with locals day and night. This area doesn't have too many tourists, so it will allow your stay to be super authentic. You will definately learn some French language here.

“Just okay”

It was just okay..could have possibly found the same thing for bit cheaper, because most of the hotels are within walking distance to the subway anyway.
