“good for the money”
Nice for the price
“Kind and effective attention.”
Not far from subway and main avenues. Clean and functional rooms. Personnel was efficient and kind.
“Great location, friendly staff. I would be happy to stay there again”
We had a nice stay. The location is great, easy access to tourist attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would consider staying there again.
“Aida Opera experience”
Hotel is near to Opera and Shopping "Grand Magazines" but in a little street and little complicated due some street reconstructions around. There's a lot of traffic and not easily to arrive by car. People in the hotel are friendly . Elevator is very small (like all those old buildings in Europe) so it was so funny how we have to deal with our luggage because it was some big sute cases.
“Internet Service is a JOKE”
Hotel location is very convenient, and hotel staff are friendly, and they do speak English, which makes things much easier. There are many restaurants nearby, within walking distance. Closest metro station is about 7-10 minutes of walking. The only thing i do not like, (actually i really hate) is their wi-fi internet is a completely farce. I rely on the internet to check out tourist attractions, and metro info as well as other on-the-whim information. But the wi-fi literally is not working, as i suspect the bandwidth is narrower than a clogged heart artery. I absolutely hate this hotel's internet, which does not offer a wired Ethernet connection, so basically you are out of luck, unless you have a smart phone and ready to pay steep pricing of roaming data. All in all, i like the hotel, and if their internet connection improves, then i would recommend it enthusiastically.
“Small rooms, but comfortableT”
As mentioned on the review title, I was surprised with how small the room was. There was so little free space left but this wasn't really a problem; it's not like I needed space to walk around. The walls were covered in wood, which made me feel like I was in a ship. Aside from this, the room was quite comfortable and had a mini refrigerator (which hasn't been common on other similar hotels I've stayed at in Paris). The location is pretty good. There are two or three different metro stations in a 3-block surrounding area. It's also 15 mins walk away from the train station (Gare Du Nord - if I'm not mistaken). I didn't have their breakfast; didn't even see what it looked like. They did have an electric water boiler and some Nescafe coffee powder in the room so you can make your own coffee. Now what I didn't like... the Internet connection was terrible!! It is free, so I wasn't expecting it to be very fast, but it just didn't work. It was frustrating because I really needed Internet to call back home and get some work done at night. Even worse is that there weren't any other Wifi hotspots in range that I could buy access to. Overall I recommend the hotel. It's a good deal for the price... unless you need a reliable Internet connection.
“Solid 3 star not closde enough to public transportation”
A solid value in a reasonably nice neighborhood. Not close to public transportation. Rooms are typically small, but staff was friendly and accommodating.
“Not a good choice”
Hotel staff were not helpful at very helpful, especially when I needed to use the internet and the guest computer was broken down. They would not print off an internet page for me from their own terminal. Hotel location was not really close to the Opera and other city attractions. It took 20 minutes walk to reach the nearest subway station. The hotel vicinity itself was not clean and did not feel very safe.
“No frills but great deal!”
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. They graciously allowed us to check in early (like 10 am) after an overnight flight. The room had two twin beds that are pushed together. You won't be cuddling, but after a long day of walking you'll appreciate the space. The room has AC but only one plug in the entire room. (bring a power-strip) The wireless internet was so slow it wasn't useable.
“Clean, comfortable, air conditioned hotel”
Mother/daughter duo stayed at the hotel for 8 days in July. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. Our hotel bathroom was the cleanest one we saw in Paris and had an abundance of towels and hot water. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was easy to adjust. Air conditioning is a necessity in Paris in July! The T.V. got a few stations in english, german and french. The hotel desk clerks were helpful and polite. The hotel is located a short walk from 2 Metro stops - Cadet and Grand Boulevard. The hotel is in a neighborhood full of bakeries, cafes and little grocery stores. It has a nice mix of locals and tourists. McDonalds, Hard Rock Cafe and Subway are all within walking distance if, you need some American food and a drink with ice. The hotel is a little tricky to find the first time, but the locals are helpful with directions. We felt safe walking to and from the hotel day or night. The hotel computer is free, but fairly primitive and only good for brief emails. The hotel lift was out of order 5 of the 8 days we stayed there, so we had a daily hike up to the 6th floor.
