“Impressive Surprise!”
My family and I just returned from a week in Paris where we stayed at the Opera Kadet Hotel in the 9th District. Overall, we were quite pleased with the experience. The room, although somewhat small [ a triple] was clean and organized. The breakfest [included] was very good, fresh and had a decent amount of choices. The staff was pleasant and informative , even to us non-French speaking Americans. The location was a positive factor - just down the street from the Metro. Overall a positive experience and we would not hesitate to return or to recommend.
“Will Return”
I had friends who recommended this hotel. It was my first trip to Paris and I was staying by myself. I felt safe, the staff was friendly and helpful, the neighborhood was nice and lots to do. The price was very reasonable and it included a nice continental breakfast and complimentary wifi. I could have not asked for a better place to stay.
“Opera Cadet has it all”
From the helpful staff to the comfortable rooms to the free continental breakfast, the Opera Cadet was a real pleasure to stay at. The Location close to the Metro makes it ideal for travelers willing to see Paris as the Parisians do. My Wife and I used the handy 10 pack Pass available in a vending machine in the lobby to train all over Paris and even the Suburbs (La Defense Mall, etc) with ease and speed. The Area around the Hotel is filled with Cafes and Food stalls, offering everything from fresh baked breads and sweets, to meats and cheeses. At night the Cafes and clubs leading down to the Grand Boulevard offers travelers the chance to trip the night Fantastic, and get a late night bite of Kebab, Frites or even a Nutella Crepe (so good). When returning to Paris (and return we will), the Opera Cadet will be our first choice to stay.
“Great location and nice staff”
The locale is great and the staff was awesome. If you plan to drive in Paris get ready for an adventure. We rented a car from Europecar and the car was nice but when it was time to drop it off at the train station - whoa - it was stress central. The Opera Cadet was a great location and the rooms - although small - were adequate. The help was great and the free breakfast was breath of fresh air.
“Nice, but need to know what your paying”
Nice hotel, area is OK, they would not tell me the amount of my bill at the end, so I would not go back.
“Location, Location, Location”
Opera Cadet is not only a very decent hotel, it's located on a very convenient street, Rue Cadet, its so easy to get around from there either by foot (as I do) or by Metro. I've stayed there 3 times and look forward to more visits.
“Great location and helpful service”
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. The front desk service is very good. The breakfast can use a couple of more items, but it is welcomed when you wake up hungry from site seeing the day before. If you like to walk, the hotel is in walking distance to all the major museums and attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
“A fabulous hotel in the Opera district!”
What a wonderful hotel!! We were completely pleased with our stay there. The rooms were well appointed, and very clean. They were generous with the daily allotment of towels, which we have not always found to be the case at European hotels. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always professional. We also highly recommend the daily continental breakfast! Absolutely delicious. Although the hotel is not as close to the Seine as we expected, it was within a very reasonable walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood was safe & pleasant. It was also very easy to hail a cab from the hotel's cross-street, the Rue Lafayette. In sum, we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! An easy five stars.
“a clean, friendly, well-located and value for money hotel in Paris”
The location of the hotel was very good. The receptionist spoke very good English and were extremely helpful. The room was clean with a small balcony. The breakfast room was very nice facing into an internal garden.
“stay elsewhere”
An uninspiring hotel on the edge of a bad area. Despit emy room being empty from 10-3 they still rang me up while I was having a snooze at 3.30 to ask when they could clean it. Crowded breakfast room with little hope of getting a table. Full of ghastly children, Avoid it.
