“Good Hotel”
Servespeople are friendly, and give me a lot of help.
“Good Value”
The Ideal Hotel is clean and right next to the Metro. It's also above a bakery and next to a nice restaurant Nothing fancy here but a good choice if you want to save a few euros!
“Okay hotel if you get a decent rate”
Hotel was undergoing some renovations, Rooms are decent size, but do not expect for space for luggage. My room was dark in decor and lighting in room was extremely limited. If you drop anything black on the black shag rug, you were down on your knees feeling around. There is no A/C. You have to advise Front Desk that you want English speaking channels on TV so that you can get BBC. Front desk need to be more informed. They were quite limited on providing directions to places in Paris. Location of hotel is on the last stop of the Metro #4 line. It is not close by to any attractions, but if you know how to travel using the Metro or RTR, you can get to most places within a half hour using connecting lines. There are a few decent restaurants close to the hotel.
“It's a 3 star hotel, what do you expect?”
The hallways were being painted & rugs replaced, unfortunately with same poorly chosen fabric. Good location, staff friendly, helpful, decent English. Rms small, had a frig in ours though-unusual in a 3 star. Take an upper rear rm for quiet.
“Wouldn't stay for longer than one night”
This was our last night in Paris after a trip to Brugge. The Hotel was being remodeled and there were paint cans and partially carpeted halls, which was not a problem. Neither was the dark purple and black decor an issue but the enlarged photo of naked woman in 4 inch heels was just a little close to mild pornagraphic. I would have been happy to dismiss it but for the mirror on the ceiling above the bed.
“Dirtiest Hotel I've Ever Seen”
This hotel has no air conditioning and paper-thin walls. Additionally, it had the dirtiest floors I have EVER seen in a hotel. I wore flip-flops or socks when walking in my room, I would never dare to go bare-footed. The hair dryer was broken, the shower was tiny and there was a rip in the curtain which allowed water to soak the bathroom everytime we bathed. Several staff members were very helpful, and several were rude or uninterested in helping or answering questions. All staff members did speak English. There is a Metro stop right in front of the hotel which made navigating the city easy. I would not reccomend this hotel.
“Wonderful Access to the City”
Really enjoyed my stay; however, I think the hotel needs to tell its customers that if you use the phone you will get charged, even when you have a calling card. Other than that small detail, I LOVED IT!!!!!!!
“The worst hotel visited so far...”
This was an unpleasant and definitively not ideal experience that we had during our stay in this hotel in Paris. Apart from good location which is next door from the metro entrance, everything there was terrible. The room was in general dirty, the carpet was unclean, the furniture old, TV did not have a single channel in English, so we could not even watch it. I could hear every single word that the people next door were saying, so it was very uncomfortable to overhear someone's conversation. The maid did not vacuum our room. Unfortunately I paid the whole amount via Expedia, so we could not cancel and we had to stay the whole 7 nights there. We tried to come to the hotel as late as possible every day, and used it only to get some sleep. Luckily Paris was wonderful, and the whole vacation there was great. We tried to not be bothered by the hotel not to spoil our vacation. The hotel is not recommended at all.
“Ideal”
My fiance and I stayed at Ideal Hotel Design for seven days in March. During our time in Paris, we enjoyed the pleasant hospitality, convenient location, and comfort we would expect of a reasonably priced three star hotel. The Metro entrance is within feet of the hotel. It was easy and cheap to travel anywhere within the city, as well as to both airports. The neighborhood is on the southern outskirt of central Paris and filled with great shops, stores, restaurants and parks. There was a wonderful bakery next door to the hotel, as well as a bank, and several dining options were on the block. We also took advantage of the fresh food markets as well as the groceries stores within two minutes walk to keep light snacks and beverages on hand. The room and bathroom were clean, and the queen sized bed was comfortable. When we arrived, we were directed to a luggage storage room and restroom where we dropped off our baggage and freshened up before going out. Our room was ready before check in and the staff continued impressing us during our stay. For the money, this hotel exceeded our expectations. It was a great economical option that provided for an amazing vacation. We would enjoy returning without hesitation.
