“Convenient and functional”

10 minutes out of town and across the road from the best curry laksa ever (maybe Sat only) this is a workers' hotel with small, clean rooms and no extra frills. Great service from Mary at the front desk and a good night's sleep but don't expect a sleep in as it gets busy early. Pool was great for a dip too :)

“Avoid until 2013”

The staff were friendly and helpful. They tidied the room very well, no mean feat as we left our belongings all over the room. The room was very clean and well kitted out. It is very handy to Parap markets and the Museum. It was tastefully decorated and used the available space very well. Unfortunately room space was rather limited although external areas (pool area and various deck chair areas) somewhat make up for that. The main reason that we only give it a three out of five and would not recommend is that the hotel is right beside a construction site. We were there Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday morning we were woken at 6.30am by trucks reversing into the site. I would not stay in this hotel until 2013 (by which time the construction is likely to have finished).

“Disappointed”

Noise is a problem. Smokers congregating outside rooms and talking, etc. Smoke emanates into rooms. Air conditioner rattled and could not be left on overnight. Ditto for the cealling fan.
