Outside our room, the porch had lots of cobweb and a build up of leaves. Day 4 the leaves were vacuumed, by cobwebs remained. I wanted to pay with my card at the desk so not to incur the surcharge. The person responsible for billing was unavailable, and told she usually sorts this out. Paid for the surcharge as my card was billed.

We stayed in room 7 it was a bit noisy being right beside the road and also the heli pad for the hospital across the road. We were out most of the day, so only really noticed the sbove shen we were in the room. Overall was a great stay, we will be recommending your place to our whanau & friends.

We had to cut our stay short - no other reason than we wanted to get home before lockdown. Owner was very understanding about it!

The proprietor was extremely helpful in providing parking beyond the one night we stayed at the motel and in arranging a taxi to the airport. The nearest motel to the airport and would certainly stay there again.

This motor lodge is opposite Palmerston North hospital and the rescue helicopter which operates 24 hours. Whilst this was not an issue for us this may disturb some folk.

We spent one night in Wellington at an expensive hotel in the city prior to staying at the A'Abode & frankly the two are not in the same league. The hotel in Wgtn was twice the cost for half the stay, the towels were slightly larger than tea towels & almost as thin. $32 for a cooked breakfast & I had to pay for a flat white coffee on top of that. The A'Abode had all the comforts of home with a heated towel rail, an electric blanket on the bed, awesome heating in the unit to the point where we did not need the electric blanket & really nice people to go with it. We will be back to stay at the A'Abode for sure.

Adequate Motel for Quick Stopover
A very quick overnight stay prior to attending the Ohakea Air Show. We arrived at midnight after driving from Auckland, slept, left at 7.15am to go to the airshow. The proprietors had helpfully arranged to leave the Unit open for our late arrival. It was convenient, clean and serviceable because we needed to sleep 4 adults on a weekend when Palmerston North accommodation was heavily booked Thanks for the arrangement..

Friendly Manager - But sadly, that's where it ends
Beds and couch were very uncomfortable. Tv didn't work (but was given another 1), however, the picture was fuzzy. Heater didn't work and was taped up (was given another 1). Renovation was being done in the next room. But just waking up, they started at 8am. Outside motel light, in room 1 with very light curtains, it was hard to try an sleep, our daughters found it hard to sleep. Dust in corners of the room. Its a family room but only has 2 glasses to drink out of, so had to use wine glasses.
