Very helpful staff. Everything clean and of good standard, very comfortable king bed. Minuses: access to wardrobe and drawers in the bedroom limited due to close proximity of the bed. Access to microwave inconvenient due to its positioning (sideway) in a corner of the kitchenette.

We had an awesome stay at the breakwater motel, lovely water front view, closed by shops the restaurants for convenience, friendly staff and super nice and clean facilities; can’t ask for more, highly recommended!

Unfortunately our room was not available for the first night and the owners did not resolve the issue to our satisfaction. In fact at check out one was particularly dismissive and rude.

Great stay at Breakwater Motel for our family of five. Room was serviced daily, baby cot in the bedroom when requested. Large kitchen with utensils for cooking. Overall nice clean room with fantastic sea views.

Beautiful views and calm atmosphere
This is a lovely motel in Paihia. We loved our stay here. We had enough space to get unpacked and comfortable and the view out our bedroom and living area were stunning. We loved waking up to the sounds and smells of the ocean and loved to leave the sliders open at night as we relaxed. Incredible views and very calm atmosphere. The service was quite great as well. Anything we needed was taken care of quickly and the daily cleaning service was great. My only complaint was that the internet connection was pretty poor. I had to sit in just the right spot in one area of our unit to get connected to the wifi. Once connected, it worked pretty well. But they could probably benefit from some additional access points to increase the wifi connectivity.

The internet in the town is still run on copper to the gate then fibre onto the property. We have the up to date equipment but when the town is at capacity we are challenged with issues.

The best feature of this property was the fact it was within walking distance to all of the main facilities of Paihia. Restaurants, shopping and all tourism outlets were very handy. The internet in our room was very limited and with no phone number listing or radio in the room access to local information was limited. The management did provide a wifi booster to assist with the internet access after we complained. Would suggest an upgrade to the internet access would be an asset in the post covid era in which compendiums are no longer supplied in guests rooms.

Internet only working in main room not in bedroom Tv only had Chanel’s in the lounge room to use tv in bedroom you needed to walk into lounge to change the Chanel , very hard to do anything in the bedroom

We were really impressed with the unit. Spotless and up to date. I confess, being a clean freak, I tried to find some dust and couldn't. We really couldn't fault it. Comfortable bed, everything you need in the kitchen. The view was amazing, and it was an easy walk to bars and restaurants. 10/10.

Very clean and recently refurbished I would say. Excellent bed, comfy couches, adequate cups, glasses, cutlery etc. Lucky to park right outside my room as some carparks are not adjacent to rooms. I would definitely stay here again amd recommend it to tohers.

Seems the motel was pretty empty because we booked through hotels . Com we got shoved up the back with no view Would of been nice seen as we booked two rooms to have a room with a view Rooms are all tile floors so very cold this time of the year Motel was well over Priced

Hello Anonymous (?) You chose to book the cheaper budget rooms without a view. Had you paid the additional amount when you booked for a Waterfront Suite you would have had a room with an ocean view. All our rooms are fitted with heatpumps. Why complain once you have departed? Clearly you have never had your own business or do you always want something for nothing! Please remember Be Kind. Book Direct and Keep it Local.
