"The staff at the counter don't seems to be able communicate effectively. We checked in quite late and we were told about dinner need reservation before specific time resulting we headed out nearby ramen shop but were not accepting anymore customer. We went back to our room and order for room service but was declined because the staff couldn't speak english. We snacked on our biscuit at the end as our dinner."

"We had a fabulous stay in this hotel - the level of service and personal attention was fantastic - from accommodating our later than planned arrival and later dinner time, through to every interaction with staff. The set dinner tasing menu of 9 courses was very special and the welcome drink at the bar in front of the stove was thoughtful and a lovely touch as were all the little treats and drinks. We would love to return. Thank you to all the staff."

"高級感がありおもてなしは素晴らしいです。部屋と露天風呂は申し分なく、清潔感もありお洒落で良かったです。スリッパ無しで歩く館内は畳が気持ちよく、とにかく内装が素敵で非日常を味わえます。大浴場も空いていて貸切状態。高級感がありゆっくりと楽しめました。人とすれ違う事も無くプライベートが空間は保たれています。ただお食事が期待していただけに残念でした。特に夕食は普通です。お洒落感は無かったですあと高級ホテルなのに、木のテーブルにビニールのマットをかけているのがとても気になりました。 "

"We (couple) were very late arriving due to an issue earlier that day. Once we figured out the right phone number to call, the staff were only too happy to stay back an extra half hour for us to check in. Due to our late arrival we didn't get to spend long here but we certainly enjoyed our short stay; the room was comfortable, warm and clean, the facilities were good and the communal spaces were warm and welcoming. We'd definitely recommend this hostel and hope to be back again soon to enjoy a...

"Friendly and accommodating staff. The public bath was very nice...inside/outside arrangement. Note: only a few rooms had western style beds. Most of the rooms were tatami mats and bedding for the floor, a unique and enjoyable experience."

"We stayed here again after our last visit in 2016. I love this property though it was quite aged and thus may not be the best option for some considering it is not cheap (half board though). I have no issue with the higher price as we enjoyed the food. As we stayed 2 nights this time, they provided us with a special dish during the second dinner. I really enjoyed myself. "

"Very comfortable and beautiful hotel. Great spa and sauna that healed our travel fatigue. Love the garden! Enjoyed the delicious Japanese breakfast. I’d love to stay there again."
