“SpringHill Suites suits us perfectly”

I did research for locations to stay near John Wayne Airport and had easy access to the major freeways and wasn't looking for a hotel with all the bells & whistles. I found SpringHill Suites. Its a 4 story smaller boutiqu-ey hotel that has workout facility, swimming pool, 1st come 1st serve free parking. They have free continental breakfast so that was a great way for us to start our day. Make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, english muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal selections, 2 kinds of sweet muffins, yogurt & enough options to suit many. our room was spaceous as there was 3 of us and though we wanted 2 beds; the 1 King Bed Suite that had the sectional sofa suits our sleeping needs. We liked that the tandem bathroom set up where separated shower & sink from toilet. Since we were not spending most of our time hanging out at the hotel, it was comfortable and convenient enough for the 2 nights we stayed. Though we wished the towels were of better thicker quality but we didnt chose the hotel expecting plush towels, robes & room service.

“new modern hotel with a reasonable price”

The hotel is new and it is very clean. The rooms are very modern. We had a suite with 2 queen beds and it did have a bath which was good for our 2 year old son. The other suite had a king size bed and it only had a shower but that was good for my parents. The breakfast was good. You can't really beat the price and it was close to everything in Orange County. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families. It is RIGHT off the freeway so it is close to everything: South Coast Plaza, Newport/Balboa beach, Laguna beach, Disneyland,etc. We didn't use the pool but they do have an indoor pool and fitness room.

“Loved this hotel! Very modern!”

This is my first time staying at Springhill Suites by Marriot and I was very impressed. I travel a lot so I've stayed at quite a bit of hotels. By far, this one has been in my top 3. The free breakfast buffet made it even better and the location was perfect for places I needed to go. Not too far from the beach and for the price, I'd definitely stay here again. It was totally worth it!

“Very calm and cozy”

The hotel is small, so check in and check out were very quick. Loved the rooms. Although they seem bigger in pictures, in reality they are small for 3 people. Hotel environment is good and complimentary breakfast was great as well. Would definitely go back for this price.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Except for its location, this is the perfect hotel. We had a car so we were able to drive around. But, I wouldn't mind the location because the hotel was perfect .

“Extremely impressed with quality.”

Great new hotel. Room was clean and fresh and the layouts are amazing. Don't expect much from the neighborhood. There is NOTHING within walking distance. Even finding a descent bar or restaurant by car is not easy. That said, it is very convenient for business as it is near all the major Irvine and Santa Ana business/commerce parks. Super convenient to the John Wayne airport. PITA to get to from LAX as the 405 is always a mess.

“Its New”

Great place to stay. Just opened so the rooms are in great condition. Also, the rooms are well thought out. Nice desk to work at with plenty of power sockets. Good WiFi. The bedside radio has iPod dock, a nice touch. The only criticism is that all the cereals at breakfast are sugar coated. However, there is a hot option

“Very clean, nice staff, good value”

This appeared to be a very new (or very well maintained) building. The rooms were clean with "modern" fixtures. The free breakfast was nothing to get exited about, but there was decent food. In all, an excellent bargain and I'll certainly stay there again.

The room was a good size and comfortably slept 4 people; however, there weren't enough towels, even for 3 people. It would have been nicer if there was another toilet in the bathroom. The food was good and plentiful, and the staff were accommodating.
