A wonderful and peaceful stay!!
What a wonderful weekend we had! The studio is just perfect and super cosy at night with the fireplace. It feels like a home away from home as Lorien’s attention to detail is second to none - from the cleanliness, the many amazing books, the quality furnishings and towels, to the ample pantry of food she provides. It is a true bed AND breakfast. We loved our stay in this peaceful locale away from the ‘suburbia’ of Ocean Grove. Waking to birdsong was just what we needed. As well as walks in the nearby Nature Reserve and along the beautiful beach. We WILL be back! 😊

Home away from home
Found this gem at the last minute and Lorien was kind enough to accommodate us. A lovely quiet location with everything you need. Perfect place away from the bustle of town but close enough to everything you need. The kitchen was well stocked. The pancake mix with fresh berries and maple syrup was perfect for a lazy morning without having to leave the house.

Studio cottage ocean grove
Our lovely studio cottage was absolutely fantastic. Very clean, everything we needed plus more was provided and excellent air conditioning! Our lovely host was amazing and was so helpful and super quick and efficient in all of our enquiries and questions. Thanks so much!

Best host/VRBO we have had so far.
This host knows how to make their property very welcoming. The property is amazing and close to many beach or wildlife opportunities. We will be sure to book this again when we visit the Gelong area again.

Ocean grove stay
Loriens property was fantastic. Its listed as a studio but has a seperate bedroom. Very spacious & comfortable. Recommend to stay. Host very friendly.

Botanical Charm & Generosity
We loved the studio apartment. It was full of charming and thoughtful details and I loved the books and artworks! Breakfast supplies were very generous, as were the toiletries. Bed super comfortable. The setting in the garden is very pretty also. Lorien was very helpful and friendly and gave us a huge basket of lemons from the garden!

It doesn't get any better!!!
From the moment we pulled into the driveway and Lorien greeted us by our names, right through to the beautiful little touches of fresh herbs, flowers and farm fresh eggs, this stay was amazing. The place was exceptionally clean, provided such warmth and entertainment and listening to the birds in the morning made us feel like we were in the middle of the native bush. If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would. Just a brilliant stay, with incredible decor and great quality touches - like Sheridan towels and Sukin products. Thanks so much guys! It was so rejuvenating. 😀😀

Relaxing Stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Clean, inviting and the gas fireplace was cosy. Neighbourhood was quiet & surrounded by nature. Great walks to main street, beach, river & nature reserve. Lorien was welcoming & friendly. Loved the breakfast provisions...super generous & delicious.

Great communication with property owner and some beautiful touches to make the stay a little more special: breakfast provisions, quality linen and towels, shower gel and shampoo - great shower! - and chook food for the hens for when they came to visit us! A lovely ‘sustainability/eco-friendly vibe’ going which made our stay so relaxing and chilled.

Bush retreat by the Sea
Our stay was fantastic!! Beautiful location in the Woodlands estate of Ocean Grove. Felt like we were in the bush but so close to the beach. Bed was super comfortable and our host welcomed us with some lovely surprises in the fridge. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay. We will be back.

Warm welcome, wonderful stay
It’s the many little welcoming touches that make this studio so special. From the lovely floral arrangements and excellent Sheridan towels laid out in the bathroom through to the fabulous treats in the kitchen. Jars filled with Lindt chocolates, wonderful Granola, oats, ground coffee, instant coffee, tea bags and more line the shelves. The fridge is stocked with fresh berries, poached pears, yoghurt, freshly laid eggs, juice, Prosecco- and more!!! The bed is comfortable, the washing machine excellent and hosts, Lorien and Dean are so accommodating and helpful. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

Seaside Break Amongst The Gum Trees
Very relaxing surrounded by bush but a short drive to street and beach. Communication with the host was excellent and we were warmly welcomed on arrival. Studio was clean and comfortable and well equipped. A big bonus was the breakfast, bacon & eggs fruit and muesli etc. We will return !

Tranquil stay
We decided to organise a long weekend away before ever little one arrives in November and to celebrate my husband's 40th a bit earlier. This was the perfect spot for a a relaxing and romantic breakaway as a couple. Thank you so much Lorien and Dean. The place is beautiful and well appointed. We loved the little welcome commity of hens and your dog Saffie. It was also lovely to meet you and have a little chat. We felt very welcome and at home.

Best of both worlds.
The studio is ideally located only a few minutes from the centre of Ocean Grove but feels more rural with the abundance of native trees and birds. The owner was very helpful and welcoming and the studio provided an impressive array of quality bathroom products. The pantry was also well stocked and a range of games and activities was available. We enjoyed borrowing the bikes and exploring the nearby nature reserve. The studio is a peaceful and relaxing base providing access to all that the Surf Coast has to offer.

Perfect romantic getaway
Lorien and Dean were perfect hosts, we were greeted with beautiful bouquets of local floral, fresh eggs in the fridge from their chooks and lovely fresh fruit. The studio is very tasteful, just the right size for a couple and there is so much to do including a lovey beach at Ocean Grove and the Nature Reserve which is a 10 minute walk away. Perfect location
Firstly, thank you to Lorien who greeted us and hosts us during our stay. Very helpful but respectful of our privacy considering we were on the same property. The studio was super clean, big enough for the 3 of us and our 6 years old loved checking on the chooks routine every day (if you come from Melbourne lock down, you will understand). The location is the best, the beach, the bushland, the shops, it's all there just a few minutes away.

Thank you Lorien and Dean for the warm welcome and an opportunity to spend the time at your property. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and home like. There was food in the fridge to get us started which was amazing as other places we stayed at never provided that. The property was beautiful and tranquil. We felt like we were in the middle of the bush somewhere but so close to the beach and the town centre. Kids loved the games that were available and kept busy throughout the whole time. Once again, beautiful property with welcoming hosts. We hope to come back.

Peaceful Self Contained Retreat
Our stay was made easy, the cottage was clean, well stocked and with a wide choice of food for breakfast. We took advantage of the bikes and then in turn the National Park which is an easy 2 minute ride. Close to town and beach with a host (Lorien) who takes care of every detail. Highly recommended

Beautiful gem of a place!
We stayed one night here and wished it was longer. Lorien has put so much thought into this gorgeous property, from the beautiful decorating to the special touches with the breakfast provisions.
