“I would go back again.”
Friendly, clean and food great. Hotel staff just wonderful.
“BEST sleep on a hotel mattress!!!”
This is probably the best hotel I've stayed at. . . I normally just go the "cheap" route when I book a hotel. I figure, it's just a place to sleep. But my boyfriend & I spent 1 night at the Hilton and it was the best hotel we've stayed at!!! We're still talking about it. Very modern and updated decor, very clean, and BEST bed ever!!!! The best sleep I've ever had on a hotel mattress!!!!! Stayed there on a Saturday night after a concert, and it was quiet and low key hotel. Next time I have to book a hotel, I will be staying at the Hilton.

We got a last minute deal on our trip to Berkeley and got this 3 star hotel for 50% off. We chose an area and the Hilton Garden Inn accepted the deal. This is the second time I've stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn, through a Name Your Own Deal. The other time was in Sacramento. Both times the hotel has been lovely, with excellent service and accoutrement s. It is located right off the freeway in Emeryville, just one exit south of Berkeley and a half mile from the Bay Bridge. Downtown SF was 30 minutes away in rush hour. Berkeley was 3 - 7 minutes depending on the exit you wanted. I highly recommend it, especially if you aren't paying full price!

“Nice place to stay”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. the continenal breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and will probably return there if we have the occasion to be in the area over night.
“Highly recommend”
For one brief night (arrived 11pm, left 9am), we stayed in a clean, pleasant room with modern decor. The king size bed's comforter was refreshingly white and soft. We were especially pleased with the provision of ample towels, Neutrogena mouthwash and refrigerator. The downside of our experience was the very slow, relatively unresponsive front desk service during checkout. We frequent many hotels and this is by far the longest checkout. There were two clerks and a manager, and it required a bit of bellowing for moderately-paced execution of a routine task. Next time, I know to give them 20 minutes to complete check out. Because of its location in Emeryville next to the highway, it's an easy place to reach local places like Berkeley and San Francisco. I highly recommend this place for tired weary travelers for a bit of rejuvenation.
“Excellent hotel”
This hotel was ideal for the purposes of my trip. I was a woman travelling alone and needed to be near the Amtrak station at Emeryville (the main station for San Francisco). The hotel does not pretend to be a 5 star luxury experience, but it was very clean, very comfortable, the staff were exceedingly courteous and helpful, but above all, I felt incredibly safe. Next time I need to use Amtrak out of Emeryville, I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel.
