“Great location! Pay a little extra for a bay view suite..........well worth it.”
We will definitely stay here again. So close to Berkeley. Easy drive across the Bay Bridge it you want to pay for parking in SF, otherwise take a cab or Bart. Or just hang out in Emeryville! Many good restaurants and lots of shopping within walking distance from the hotel.
“Very nice hotel”
The room was spacious and clean. There is a sleeper sofa, I wouldn't reccomend for adults as it would not be too comfortable. Great location, close to shopping and dinning and the bay area bridge. Best of all, parking is free!

the location of the hotel is fantastic...close to everything like freeway, Amtrak, Bart, stores and supermarkets.
“Make Certain You Know What Type of Room You're Reserving”
The Woodfin Hotel is a comfortable all-suite hotel, offering one- and two-bedroom suites only. We inadvertantly reserved a "traditional room" through Expedia, which is the "second" room of an unused two-room suite. That room has just a bed, narrow desk, and not much else. In looking at both the Woodfin website and the Expedia photographs and descriptions of the Woodfin, one is certainly led to believe that one is reserving a suite; we certainly thought we were reserving a suite. When you reserve through Expedia, make certain you know exactly what you are reserving. Relying primarily on the photographs and general descriptions, you may think you're reserving a suite, when in fact, you are not. Ironically, depending upon the dates you select, you could pay the same for a one-bedroom suite and a single (non-suite) room. Aside from this, the suites are spacious and staff is very responsive. The kitchenette area was fully stocked with silverware, a full complement of pots and dishes, and refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and range. We would certainly stay there again.
“comfortable family hotel”
The hotel is in a safe and easy access for fun and business area. The suite is comfortable with family. Pets can stay that is a plus.
“Ioved the service at the hotel”
Really appreciated the shuttle service back and forth to the children's hospital. Loved that there was a heated pool outside and that the restaurants were all an easy walking distance.
“Emeryville's Best Hotel”
Overall rating was very satisfied. But we're unlucky to have very loud exciting party people in the next room on Saturday night till Sunday morning. It was too loud to sleep. Except that, we're very comfortable.
“AMAZING!!!”
This was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in!! The bed was huge and extremly comfortable, huge tv with lots of channels, and even a clock radio with ipod docking station! Only 2 criticisms, its too close to the noisy trains and you have to pay for the internet! Would love to come back or stay at others in the chain!
“Pet Friendly”
We stayed at the Woodfin 2 nights,booked a night prior to a trip south and were so impressed by this pet friendly establishment we booked another night for our return north. We upgraded at the suggestion of the desk clerk,the suite was spacious and well equipped which allowed us to entertain friends for dinner. Our dogs had plenty of room for their beds, toys,the hotel doesn't have much space on the grounds for pet walking but their is a nearby pet area across the street. Adjacent to Emeryville Amtrak, nearby Trader Joes and a public market with food court, shuttle available to local areas and bay area transit easy access.
“Hotel find in the East Bay, California”
The Woodfin is a real find in the East Bay. Hubby and I *love* the suites, which allow separate space for us, with a cozy kitchen to accommodate a quick breakfast or evening snack. Very welcoming, helpful staff, ample free parking, and 2 separate shopping + movie centers in easy walking distance. If you are super sensitive to sounds, ask for "bay view" so you won't hear noise from the adjacent Amtrak station. There's great birding in walking distance along the bay. This is our second holiday stay with them and we will return next year.
