"We stayed here the week of May 17 and I was very disappointed… it’s right on the south beach tourist strip, which was convenient. The ocean was right across from the hotel, which was great, but the ocean and sand was terrible in this location. Seaweed and moss everywhere on the beach in the water was not a clean beach or nice water for photos or to go in.. the hotel staff was cocky and arrogant. The female that checked us in was not accommodating with our luggage as check-in would not be till 4 PM and we arrived at 1 PM. She made me carry my own luggage to the storage room and said I’m not the person who does that. I’m just the person at the front desk and walked me to the storage room although she could have helped.. She had an attitude as well. The photos on Expedia make it look super upper class and elegant and it’s cheap wooded furniture that has been refurnished. The one chair had slashes and rips in it. Everything is done very cheaply to make it look nicer than it actually is. Some of the fans and lighting didn’t work. The water took 5 to 10 minutes to get warm.. It was not good at all. The food from there was not the best either the bartenders were OK although slightly on the arrogant side. We ate at the Avalon, which was right next-door. They had amazing food, a beautiful, elegant, classy outdoor space. I would recommend them over this place in a heartbeat.."
