"We had a great stay at the Riu Palace. Beautiful grounds, never felt crowded, very friendly staff. Lally and Alex made our stay more enjoyable. They were constantly getting the kids involved in activities which was great for all of us. Kids never wanted to leave! Food was decent, rooms were okay. Beach was nice and we loved walking to see the monkeys nearby. Hard to get into restaurants unless you went to the first sitting. Place could be cleaner, definitely needed some upgrades, and room keys...

"It’s an old property and needs minor updates. Some of the outlets in the property needed to be upgraded. As the plugs wouldn’t stay in the outlets, but that’s pretty minor. Another item was that some elderly people might have problems entering the bathtub as the bathtub height getting in and out was kind of a scary. The staff was really great. The drinks were good and the food was excellent."
