“good if you want to keep your cost low”
Pros: room big compared to other european hotels, metro across the street, plenty of coffee shops with wi-fii near by, walking distance to main attractions, decent breakfast buffet, and nice housekeepers. Cons: most of the staff are very rude and unfriendly, floor of the room looks like it could use some repaired, it advertises "free wi-fii" in the restaurant, yet when one goes at night connection doesn't "work" I'll stay again only if the price is right, and will use the wi-fii of one of the many coffee shops around the corner.
“Above expectations”
The hotel is very conveniently located, close to theaters, subway station. High ceilings, spacious room. All amenities in the bathroom. Internet (though we did not use it, could not evaluate its quality). Very good breakfast. Russian pancakes are a very tasty addition to it. It'd be nice if they started the breakfast 30 minutes earlier. We knew the hotel was at least 50 years old, did not know what to expect, but the interior is very modern. So, above and beyond expectations. It was rated 3 stars, but it'll give any 4-star stateside hotel a run for its money.
