“Getting worse”
I stayed 4 times before at this hotel but this time the service was terrible. First of all, I did not get the room that I booked. Because they did not have available room for me. Then, I was told that they would change next day but they did not. Even though, I booked better room for me than my secretary and I paid extra, she stayed larger room than me. Whatever room you book and you pay extra, they give you whatever they have. Secondly, they have a shuttle to metro at specific times. I was there at least 5 minutes before the leaving time, but I could not catch the shuttle. When I ask where the shuttle is, they told me left earlier because it was full. I was going to exhibition and I had loaded with catologues and documents. I ask for the taxi and they told me to wait at least 30 minutes. So, I had to walk with my loads and find taxi myself. Thirdly, my room was very small, especially the bathroom. You can not take a shower without the curtain touching on your body. Also, when you take shower, the water covers all over the places and no way to get out without stepping on water. I do not know, but I doubt, the management has been change and the new management is no good at all.
“Most Excellent Service in Moscow”
15 minutes by bus to the Metro station, Next to a supermarket, and about 5 minutes from the movies. Several restaurants within close proximity. Also there was a wonderful restaurant in the hotel. All hotel members spoke multiple languages very well. They were quick to please. Any items I had an issue with were fixed in seconds. I Rate their service as First Class. The rooms are a bit small but they are comfortable. (Most rooms in Moscow will not be big. Just the way things are unless you get a suite. ) Free Internet :) I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. I want to be able to visit in the future. and I will most likely stay in this same hotel.
“Nice place to stay”
Hotel stuff is very friendly, breakfast is very nice, the rooms are clean. This is real value for the price. The only concern is location. This is far from city center with not so convinient way to go to the center.
“Great Staff”
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Reception staff spoke very good english and helpful to answer questions. Food and bar staff spoke broken english. Room quality was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wanted a good stay at a fair price. The food was very good too.
“Built from scratch to Western standards of comfort and service”
all you need for not much money. The only drawback is the location away from everything in a residential area: I am originally from Moscow so no problem here but for a foreigner who does not speak Russian -- either rely on taxis or figure out public transport. If you can do it (both are good options) it does not detract from the value of the place; on the contrary, if you want to see the real life of the city and do not care for tourist traps -- this is for you. Note that I am pretty picky, too: I use dot travel up to 80% on the job and really, really hate poor service.
