“Great location”

Right in the middle of the old port, a great, walkable location. On-site parking isn't free, but is very convenient. Rooms are small, but nice enough. Don't stay on the 1st floor; you'll smell the pool. Breakfast is free, and pretty good. The staff are helpful and nice.

“Location, location, location.”

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel is in old Montreal and just around the corner are cafes, restaurants and quaint little shops. Can walk everywhere. Make sure you visit their Notre Dame church and see the light show at night.

“Very Satisfied!”

Perfect arrangements. Staff very friendly and informative. Could not have been any cleaner. Great restraunt connected to the hotel.

Old Montreal was very quant and pleasant. Great restraunts. The Notra dam Cathedral was the most beautiful church I have ever seen and the night time presentation was incredable. Subway system very easy to travel on. Ventured out of Old Montreal on subway system to Royal Mountain, Fine art museum, and unbelievably beautiful Botanical Gardens. Perfect spot for a 3 day visit.

“Great Location for Old Montreal”

Having been staying at this hotel for several of my last few stays in Old Montreal. Can't beat the location. The hotel is attached to one of the oldest restaurants in the city and is 1/2 block from other restaurants on Rue St Paul, shops, and close to notable sites such as Notre Dame Basilica. Their complimentary breakfast includes eggs, waffles, breakfast meats, and fruits and could be considered above average. The price is usually lower than surrounding properties, though be prepared to pay 20.00- 25.00/day parking. The work area in the rooms is large and comfortable and the internet access easy to establish. During this most recent visit however, I was deeply disappointed with the hotel staff. They seemed uncaring, aloof, and unfriendly. I hope this was only temporary as on previous trips these were not issues. Overall, your stay here will be economical and comfortable. Checkout the Narcisse Bistro and The Keg - Le Keg / Chez Brandy's for great steak dinners all within a very short walk of the hotel. Also for unusual gifts - Meli Melo on St Paul

“Great Old Port Hotel”

Very nice, helpful staff. Parking on-site ($). Right in the middle of the Old Port, an easy walk to everything. Rooms are a little small, and suites are not actually separate rooms. But they're very clean and nice. The free breakfast buffet is good, and it's well-attended to by the staff.

Dining

Be picky about the places you eat at Place d' Jacques Cartier. Some are nice, some are not. The Tres Brasseurs, a small chain, is surprisingly good. The crepe place (Suzette's) near the hotel is very casual, kid-friendly, and good.

“Good tradeoff”

The hotel is conveniently located in the old Montreal with a parking (valet mandatory $20C per day which is decent for the area). The hotel quality is ok, nothing fantastic, just what you would expect for that price point. We have been to this hotel a couple of times. This time we had some issues with the plumbing but nothing major. The staff is always helpful.

“Best Hidden Secret”

This hotel was tucked away down a little side street and moments away from shopping. It was very hard to find but well worth the search. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. We would definately return.

“Best Deal in Old Montreal”

With great room rates, a full breakfast included, and an excellent central location, this is the best hotel deal in Old Montreal. It may not be a beautiful building and the rooms are somewhat drab, but it is very comfortable and within easy walking distance of the Metro subway and any of the major features of Old Montreal.

Old Montreal has everything: Shopping, history, restaurants, street-life, and of course, the Notre Dame Basilica.
