“Great Hotel in Old Montreal”
This is a lovely, boutique hotel in the center of Old Montreal. We loved it and will return.
“Terrific boutique hotel”
Loved this hotel. Very spacious, quiet room, comfortable beds, nice desk for working, room to really sit in the wing chair. Staff are wonderfully attentive, responsive, and cheerful - I got great restaurant advice, little items I needed like toothpaste or a club soda gratis, immediate help with the printer; access to the printer in the little business center is free. Location is excellent for Palais de Congres and Old Town. Very good cafes & restaurants nearby (though open places sparse on weekends). Bathroom was very basic but functional, also true of exercise room. The original artwork is mostly gone, the hallway walls a little tired, but this is still a very charming hotel, no complaints.
“unique boutique hotel with outstanding service!”
We stayed here on our Quebec honeymoon trip. Wonderful location in the old port area of Montreal. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we could even store our luggage for an afternoon after checkout since our train left later that day! We would stay here again because of unique artwork everywhere, cleanliness, and outstanding service!
“An inviting staff welcomed us to the great city of Montreal”
Everyone very friendly, helpful and courteous! A charming hotel, centrally located, clean and knowledgeable staff! Would recommend this hotel to all...also a very nice breakfast!
“Missed the art!”
We recently spent two nights in the LHotel and enjoyed our stay. Check-in was fast and the entire staff was courteous and helpful. We arrived fairly late by car and the bellman unloaded and delivered our many bags and valeted our car. Our room was small but nice and clean with adequate storage, with the exception of the bathroom which was also very small with virtually no place for toiletries. Lighting in the bath was marginal also. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was the reviews on the original artwork. Unfortunately due to a lawsuit involving the owner, much of the more expensive and well known artwork has been removed. Again the staff was very helpful making two dinner recommendations that were spot on. The location of the hotel was the other reason for our choice and was exactly where we wanted to be in Old Montreal with many restaurants to choose from. However be aware that many are not open every night including Sunday and Monday. We never took our car out of valet and were able to walk everywhere. When we got ready to leave they advised us that due to construction our car had gotten very dirty in the parking lot. They offered and did take our car to have it washed as a courtesy. Overall our stay was enjoyable thanks to the staff and we would go back.
“Excellent Hotel in Montreal”
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Excellent service, huge rooms and beautiful artworks. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel building is an old bank and is very pretty. It is located in Old Montreal and very close to many tourist attractions such as Basilica Notre Dame, Rue Saint Paul and Place Jacques Cartier.
“Best Montreal Hotel!!”
This hotel is fabulous and very unique! Though it says it is three stars, I'd say it was five star. It must be good to work here, as the staff was always happy. They will do just about anything you want and were always smiling and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh bakery goods(bagels, croissants, toast, etc.), cereal, ham, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, great coffee, great service. The modern artwork in this hotel beyond belief and covers all of the hallways as well as the rooms. Every room has original artwork. The hotel must own at least 10 to 20 original Andy Warhol's. Our Murakami room had three originals. Though the parking isn't free, it is convenient and you do have in and out privileges. On the day we left, the hotel didn't have a problem with us leaving our car in the parking lot until 3 p.m. without charging us extra. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large. I would definitely recommend it and return to it. I can't wait to go back to the LHOTEL in Montreal.
“A lovely stay”
The hotel is located in the Old City and is withing three blocks of the Basilica. Many fine restuarants and the waterfront are within walking district. I especially appreciated the staff which was comprised primarily of energetic and friendly young people. Though the entrance to the hotel is not hadicapped accesible the staff willingly assisted one of our party who had issues with the stairs. The continental breakfast was very good including real croisants, good coffee, cheeses, ham, juices, and other items. The best stay of our trip.
“Fabulous Experience”
The building is superb, room was breathtaking, and the walls of the hotel filled with fabulous artwork. Like staying in a museum-really wonderful. Staff friendly and helpful. Warning to those with a disability: the front of the hotel has several staircases and there did not appear to be any ramped access!!! Highly recommend to any age--really great!
“The most amazing art collection”
Add this hotel to the the "must visit" destinations in Montreal, even if you don't stay there. The art collection is amazing.
