“Great value!”
We were impressed with the upkeep. There were no problems. The bed was too soft for me, but my wife loved it. The bar and happy hour buffet wasn't the greatest. Some local brew on tap would have been a plus. The coffee at them morning buffet was so good, my wife sent me back to ask what the brand was.(Seatle's Best)
“We will come back !”
Just came back, this hotel was a real pleasure for our family. Spacious room, really clean. Pool and big jacuzzi ! Quiet during the night, slept well. And just behind the parking lot is a really good pizzeria... ;)) We will come back !
“Absolute best value in the Carmel/Carmel Valley area!!!!”
Cant believe a good hotel like this exist for the money in Carmel!
“Very Romantic Location”
Rooms were very comfortable, grounds very well maintained
“Excellent value in Carmel”
This hotel has tons of retro-charm, with lovely accommodations, high-quality linens and very well-designed rooms and bathrooms. PLus, the breakfast at the inn restaurant was great.
“Great place to relax”
We had a very good experience at this hotel. In fact myself as well as 10 of my family members, had a good experience. The rooms very clean, quiet, comfortable. They have a late check-in time, but our room was ready, so they let us check in at 1:00. Both my brother and I brought our dogs, and they were very accomodating to us. If you don't like dogs, don't get a room on the first floor. Thats where the dog people have to stay. Our neighbors dog was barking at 7am, but that was the only dog we heard. Otherwise, it was great. Lots to do nearby.
“Vacation trip to Carmel, CA”
The hotel and staff were very friendly and courteous. They went out of their way to get us information on restaurants for our annviersary dinner. The hotel was very clean with a heated pool and hot tub. The location was very close to all the sites we planned to visit.
“Ideally located”
Ideally located near Clint Eastwood's ranch and the Mission. Not far from downtown Carmel and Monterey. Lovely California setting with outside fire pit and happy hour specials. Good breakfast at reasonable price.
“interesting decor and convienent location, plus friendly staff”
The mission inn is right off hwy 1, so is convienent to anything you want to do on the penninsula. Point Lobos is about a mile South, the mission is a quick drive towards Carmel, 17 mile drive access, or downtown Monterey/Cannery Row all easy drives. It is behind a Chevron which made it simple to gas up the car for sightseeing. A grocery store (safeway) is accross the street and behind the inn is a specialty shopping area with barns holding coffee shop, pizza parlour, clothing boutiques and other interesting shops. Our room was decorated in blues and greens with an aquatic mural as the headboard (funky/retro). The balcony wrapped around the building and was probably as big as our room. Bed was comfy and bathroom had nice tolietries available. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker, so if our stay had been longer, it would have been a nice feature. Their restaurant/bar has live music on fridays or saturdays (we missed it) and it was a little cool to use the pool, but it was open and available. I'd definitely put it on list for hotels to choose from in the area.
“Great place to stay”
Clean, modern and awesome staff. They have a great place outside where you can sit by a fire and smoke a cigar with a bottle of wine from them or your own. They are pet friendly and the nearby restaurants and shopping was great.
