“I liked it and would return”
I tried calling before I went to see about an upgrade, which I could not do on-line. My telephone experience was horible. Check-in, on the other hand, was great. I had a nice room, with peek of the Bay from the balcony entrance. My experience was very good. It looks as though things are going to change; there were story poles in the parking lot. It looks as though construction is going to happen.

Large room, nicely appointed and very clean. Outstanding value considering the excellent location, 2 blocks from Ocean Ave and the quality of the room and it's furnishings. Highly recommend.
“We had a wonderful stay at Carmel Sands Lodge!”
Our stay at Carmel Lodge was perfect. We enjoyed the quaintness of Carmel Lodge. Mary at the front desk was a pleasure. Mary gave us information about the area and things we should see. She was right on target with what she thought we would enjoy. We took her advice on traveling in the area as well as restaurants. Our suite was extremely clean and comfortable, especially the bed. We thoroughly enjoyed having the fireplace in our room as the weather was chilly the time of year we traveled to Carmel, CA. I look forward to traveling back to Carmel again and staying for sure at the Carmel Lodge. We were delightfully pleased with our stay at Carmel Lodge. Carmel Lodge was close to eveything in Carmel. We only used our car when we wanted to take the drives along the Pacific Ocean. We walked to the restaurants and shopping.

Very nice large room; comfortable bed. Location of hotel very convenient to Carmel attractions. Would stay there again.
“Very pleasant and great location”
This is a wonderful place in the heart of the gallery and restaurant area. Although it is centrally located we didn't find it noisy. It was clean, the staff was very nice and the bed was new and very comfortable. Not glitzy but much nicer than adequate.
“Loved it!!! Would def go back”
Carmel Lodge is really nice! My BF and I had come from two nights prior to our stay in Carmel and this place was soooo much better. It had a home-y feel to it. Very comfortable, very roomy. Bathroom was clean and spacey. Its also in a great location, we walked to the restaurant for dinner our second night there. Nice walk! The breakfast spots are kind of pricey..good but not good enough for a $50 breakfast! Nevertheless, we will definitely be back!

Good location, friendly staff, comfortable room (stayed in a room with a king-sized bed). It is an older property, but appeared to be well maintained.
“Fabulous place to stay in Carmel”
I love this hotel. The staff is really nice and helpful; the room was very clean, comfortable and pretty. This is definitely where I'll stay the next time I'm in Carmel!
“Would definetely stay again”
This is a very good value. The property is located in the canter of Carmel within walking distance of everything. The staff was very acomodating.
