Beautiful place! Very clean and very unique. The location is great! It’s close to everything (shopping, hiking, sightseeing, food market, beach. The club next to the hotel was too noisy every night until midnight. If you like to party you would like that.

Hotel and staff were great, but unfortunately a pub is located directly outside the hotel and plays loud music until the early hours. There is also a second outside club bar to the rear of the property, which also plays music to the early hours. The hotel staff were great and gave us ear plugs, which was great, but not really what we were expecting.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful design and very friendly staff. Breakfast is top notch, as is the restaurant for dinner, and they looked after us and our toddler very well. Would reccommend.

An excellent breakfast served by attentive staff was served daily, but the property seemed a little run down. The location of the property was centered in Old Town so it was convenient to activities, but the partying went on all night making sleep difficult.

Lovely boutique hotel in a very convenient location in the heart of the old town of Kotor. The staff were very nice and the rooms and breakfast lovely. Our room was very noisy though - one side of the hotel is directly next to a very noisy bar. The other downside was a bathroom door that didn’t shut properly or lock. Not sure why they think this is a positive thing?!

Great stay, would definitely stay again. One comment though, our room was directly above a very lively space below, which had loud music deep into the night. Didn't bother us to much, but could be an issue to some.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town
If I could give the hotel 10 stars, I would. It was a beautiful boutique hotel right in the heart of the old town. The room was quirky and just beautiful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Probably one of the best that I have stayed at.

This is a tough review to write, because the property was complicated. It is within the old walled city (awesome) so was a little challenging to find (addresses are unusual, and parking was difficult). The staff were so friendly and helpful (awesome) but there was no hot water during our stay (not awesome) and the bar across the street/alleyway was really loud until 2am. Really loud, as in impossible to sleep. Not the hotel's fault, but be aware. And the hotel doesn't appear to be finished yet, as there were no numbers on the rooms on our floor, and evidence of construction underway on other floors. So overall, really great potential but check before you stay.

Expectations exceeded
Everything from when we walked in to when we left was wonderful. Front desk staff is fantastic, always ready to offer suggestions on where to go and what to see. The breakfast was great, fresh corn muffins, homemade jams, crapes and eggs made to order any way you want them. Coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. I was really surprised. Rooms are nice and air conditioned. Location is great, right in the centre of old town Kotor. They also have a rooftop restaurant, great place to sit after a long day and have a snack/drink. I have nothing but wonderful things about this location. Thank you!

Wonderful hotel!
We enjoyed our one-night stay with our family in 2 rooms. Wonderful breakfast and drinks on roof. Very helpful staff with reservations for dinner and driver to airport. If back in Kotor old town, will definitely come back and recommend to friends.

Well designed and interesting property within an excellent location in the old town. Excellent, friendly service from all the staff. Disappointed that the roof terrace was not open as was part of the reason for choosing the hotel. It was even advertised in the lobby of the hotel. But, wonderful that a pick up, free of charge, was offered from Tivat airport

Awesome hotel in the middle of old town!
Awesome suite with 2 bathrooms! Reception staff super friendly and knowledgeable about Kotor and all the sights. Hotel location in the middle of old town was one reason we selected this hotel and even though parking (like all hotels in old town) is outside of city walls it was not terribly difficult walking the 5-10 mins to the hotel. We love the hotel so much that we’ve decided to book a 2nd night.

Most Delicious Breakfast in a Hotel in Kotor
Amazing hotel with incredible staff trying their best to make their customers happy. Special thank and appreciation to Mr. Ranco who was serving me breakfast every morning. So hospitable, friendly, and a main reason to make my day starts in a good way. The breakfast he was serving was so fresh, trying to let me try different local dishes every morning. The location of the hotel is amazing in the center of the old city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Kotor.

charming boutique hotel in the Kotor old town. love the design and how it fit in the old building. great quality toiletries, missing the lotion and conditioner though. b'fast a la carte is to quality and so yummy :) great location for a few days getaway with plenty of options to have a blast.

Excellent small boutique Hotel in Kotor
What a gem!! I was very surprised of this small hotel in the middle of the Old Town in Kotor. Yes, it was a bit tricky to find, but what a place! Absolutely excellent service, regardless of the small size of the hotel. They only have 10-12 rooms, but their service was outstanding and the breakfast delicious. Rooms very decorated in both modern and old style, and very attractive. Beds were comfortable and the TV had too many channels to even be able to watch a small portion of. Internet was a bit unstable, but worked mostly ok. All around the place there are shops, restaurants, cultural events, and so on. You are truly in the midst of everything. There is no parking or cars allowed inside the Old Town, so you need to find a parking space outside (which could be tricky and expensive). I stay around 150 hotel nights every year, and this is right in the top ten of those! Highly recommended.

Service staff were friendly, attentive and responsive. Breakfast was good and worth every single cent. However, the bathroom was poorly designed. You will need to be approximately 1.7m (height) in order to check yourself in the mirror. Also, the bathroom will be flooded after every shower, despite the fact that we took extra care in minimizing water splashing. A set of shower curtain would greatly help to reduce the flooding issue. Noise complaints were valid as hotel was located right in the heart of old town. We had to use ear plugs to get to sleep.

Style over Substance
This boutique hotel came highly rated in onlinne reviews, and appeared as a started choice in the Lonely Planet guide. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience, primarily, but not exclusively, due to the noise of a nearby bar which pumps out music so loudly until midnight that it's impossible to sleep. Apparantly it's 'the' place to be, but its presence andusic licence is so at odds with its medieval surrounds that it's in the realms of the ridiculous. On asking the front desk about the possibility of being moved to another room, we received a jaded and disinterested response informing us that the problem is the same in every room, the bar has a licence until 12am and that the police could be called after that. Oh, and they had some earplugs if we wanted them. We stayed 3 nights and this was a major problem each night. To sell bookings to customers without informing them of this major issue is disingenous to put it mildly. Whilst the hotel and rooms do look very nice in part, there were a number of issues that were completely unacceptable for a hotel of this apparent standard. Two sets of electrical sockets were hanging out of the wall. Electrical wires were sticking out of another point outside the room. The bedsheets were stained on places. One of the bedside tables marble tabletops became loose and we were told to place the lamp in the middle to balance it. It would break a foot if it toppled. The bathroom door wasn't aligned. The toilet wasn't private

Dear guests, Thank you for your feedback. We did everything for you what was in our power to enjoy your stay. Keep in mind you booked a standard double room, that's what you got. As you have seen, the hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants and we are sorry we cannot move them to another location, they got the license from the authorities and not from the hotel.  As a noise reduction aid, we have offered earplugs, your answer was that you will think. You couldn't get another room because all the standard double rooms overlook the bar and the street, while the more expensive apartments were occupied at that moment, so we couldn't offer them for an extra charge. I must emphasize that you did not express dissatisfaction during your stay, you even enjoyed our varied and rich breakfast, you did not write it. Please note that long season is behind us and that we are preparing for reconstruction from November 1st and we will correct any defects you have noticed. Thank you once again.

Stylishly put together in a old stone building in the heart of the old town...large room, great bed and very good shower However, its a classic example of designers not thinking of practicalities for people actually staying...poor lighting and strangely a toilet room with completely see through glass.Were married but neither of us want to watch each other on the toilet Overral a lovely stay though

unique hotel (medieval style), we got room with a living room and small area for lunch/dinner with table and chairs, and two toilets, one shower. Not sure, maybe it was an upgrade. Staff was friendly, helpful. The location was great, only problem- that loud pub near by. Removing that pub would be a great idea.

Quirky hotel, our room was on the top floor next to the roof terrace. Initially had the wow factor however it was style over substance. Glass toilet cubicle, not much privacy!! Glass shower room, had no where to put your toiletries. Staff were so so, not that helpful. However the main reason I would not recommend this hotel is the terrible noise at night coming from the bars next to it. You cannot sleep before 1am, awful!!!!

Unique style of the hotel makes it an interesting building. Nearly all the rooms are different in layout but have a similar style. The hotel sits in the heart of the old town which which is easy to get around. The breakfast was excellent with variety and good quality. The staff were always helpful and engaging. The newer rooms were very close to an outdoor disco that went on until 1 a.m. and would benefit from better sound proofing.

A quirky, old, nicely restored building in the heart of the old town. Very easy to find and very convenient for sightseeing. We loved the outdoor terrace at the top of the hotel for breakfast and lunch. The staff were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us to make our stay so enjoyable.

First Class Cooperation
We actually stayed next door in the Hotel Monte Cristo, where Hippocampus set us up because of an electrical problem in the part of their hotel where we were scheduled to stay. Great cooperation between the two small hotels. Absolutely marvelous room; very comfortable; great location in the middle of the old town. Great staff; great breakfast area.

It really is unique. Right in the middle of it all. My GPS was not working and the old town is a maze. I was SO lost trying to find this hotel, not for lack of a map. It was hard for locals to show me where it was. I arrived at 1AM after wandering for an hour. I have great music and earplugs. People enjoy this city until exactly 2 am. DO NOT expect a quiet room anywhere in this city. It is a party city. That is why people go there. There is a roof top restaurant that has a fantastic view of the mountains. The staff was fantastic, especially Phillip. He was a fantastic waiter. So great, I tipped him on my way out. This property has some strange quirks. The bathroom is difficult to get around in. It is also surrounded in glass with a glass door that blocks the sink. Very "hip" but not functional. The other things were good. It was VERY hot and the AC could not handle the heat wave. But they gave me a standing fan and it worked out great. I would fix those bathrooms though and bump up the AC. I had the best dinner and breakfast in the five weeks I was traveling.

Between their offer of a welcome drink and their rooftop dining area, plus they offer a complimentary breakfast from a full breakfast menu it fulfills the definition of a boutique hotel. Their staff is very polite and helpful.

Nice room but not sound proof! beware of noise!
The room is clean and location is perfect for old town of Kotor. Service is good either. The only flaw is the noise. The room is not sound proof, there is a music bar just opposite and the loud music goes on till late at night and you could hear people singing and it was LOUD! when you just want to get a good night rest, this will be a problem. The music only faded away after 11ish pm and then we were able to sleep after that. We had two rooms booked and our friend on the other floor was also having the same problem, loud music all night long and no sleep. If this is your concern, I do advice that you picked another place, unless if you only go to bed after 11pm.

Superlative Hotel In Kotor Old Town
Set right in the centre of the Old Town. Cathedral, churches, city walls, entrance to Kotor Fortress, Maritime Museum all within literally five minutes walk. Easy access to a diverse range of pubs and restaurants within the same walking distance. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and there was an excellent choice for breakfast. However although beyond the remit of the hotel it can get very noisy here at night from the onset of darkness until 1am, so I would bring a set of good earplugs.
