Home among the vineyards

Peaceful, perfect location and great host
Property was excellent - exactly as advertised in the middle of the vineyard and perfect for a getaway with the family and dog. Bruce was fantastic, more than happy to help. Pizza oven cooked wonderful pizza's, and all the cooking appliances you could want including an excellent BBQ. Kids loved the hammocks. Location is perfect to base yourself in the Riverland and explore the towns and countryside around, as Monash is very central to so many areas. Very peaceful over New Years which is exactly what we were looking for.

property surrounds very beautiful. pizza oven was a great feature. was neat and tidy however earwigs were a problem at night. im sure manager will be able to get onto this as he did express awareness that this was an issue. may need to work on door seals

Pet friendly and lovely host.
The property is nestled right in the middle of a vineyard. Enclosed safe front garden for your pets to roam safely. The host is a gentleman very friendly and welcoming. Confidently book this property knowing you will have an easy relaxing stay. Wish I had more time to enjoy the area unfortunately I was working.

The Picker’s Hut
Bruce was friendly and welcoming.. no hassles at all. Hut was basic but provided everything we needed for a short stay. Close to Renmark and we did some exploring of the area with some good recommendations from Bruce.

Lovely outdoor area with views of the vines which is securely fenced for dogs. The hammocks are a great touch. Even though the accomodation is basic, it is very comfortable and quiet. Bruce (the host) is very welcoming and provided us with a wine tasting of Top block wines. Great location.

Like Provence in the Riverland!
A very enjoyable and relaxing two-day stay. Particularly enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner outside under the shade of the large trees and surrounded on all sides by the grape vines (in summer). Nice enclosed grassy, shaded area for our dog, who seemed to enjoy just lying there ! Our host Bruce was very helpful and chatty. Will certainly stay there again when we next visit the Riverland!

Very relaxing
I was looking for an ideal place that can provide a contained outdoor space for the dog, so I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in the middle of a winery. There was WiFi and DVD for my daughter, a perfect little yard leading out from the house for the dog, and wine for sale in the kitchen (for me). We had a very pleasant and trouble free stay.

This is a great little house for a small group. we are a couple with a small dog, so pet friendly is a priority for us. There was everything there that we could need. My husband particularly loved the pizza oven. A really quiet, private place.

Wonderful experience !
Spent a few lovely days at this property and totally enjoyed the serenity and setting. The Manager Bruce is a wonderful guy and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Tried a couple of their wines while relaxing in the afternoons and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend it.

Comfortable and dog-friendly
It really couldn't have been better. Booking was easy, and the host, Bruce, was excellent to deal with. He was really understanding of our nervous dogs, and he made us feel very welcome, without being intrusive. The hut is comfortable, with good WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen, and everything else needed for an enjoyable stay. Setting is peaceful, and the fully fenced garden (with pizza oven and barbecue) completes a wonderful place from which to explore the Riverland.

Peaceful spot convenient to Barmera/Berri
A perfect base for our family (with furkid) in the Riverland. Close to shops and take-away options in Berri and to Lake Bonney where we spent Sunday at the Murray Man triathlon event. Easy check-in and clean but basic property. Thanks Bruce.

A great spot
Small but perfectly formed. We had a relaxing few days as the aircon, wifi and ChomeCast tv sheltered us from the heat. Great location to get to all the Riverland has to offer. Bruce was an excellent host.

Great private Cottage
Very pleasant little cottage, great views. privacy assured, warm and cosy beds. sofa low in height. large table and chairs, but chairs squeak, I brought the outdoor chairs in, which I preferred to sit on. great facilities in cottage, was only missing Alfoil & Wrap, full kitchen facility, BBQ outdoors and Pizza Oven worked a treat. Bruce very helpful with starting the Pizza Oven whilst we where out enjoying the district. Highly recommend for private get away with the family pet.

Delightful property
Bruce is a wonderful host both for the pickers hut and his cellar door. The central location is perfect for visiting all of the Riverland's attractions. The pet friendly, peaceful property is a wonderful place to relax for a few days.

Overall a pleasant experience. However, there are a few minor upgrades that would improve the experience: 1. Being the middle of winter the air conditioner struggled to keep the hut warm. 2. The shower head requires unblocking. 3. Bed linen was old and had some holes in it. 4. Crockery was chipped and requires replacement. 5. Hot water tap leaks in bathroom

Everything was excellent,dog yard great house very comfy although TV remotes didn't work very well. All in all it was a very pleasant place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Had a lovely 3 nights. Met at the property by the owner who had the heater going a very nice start to the stay. Dog friendly which was a bonus as we were attending the dog shows the front yard was fenced which was great as the dogs could have a run. Will be back in 2022 so happy with everything.

Cute little hut in a quiet location
We enjoyed our stay at Pickers Hut! We took our little poodle, and he enjoyed being included. The yard is secure, and there is a lovely outdoor area to sit and enjoy the scenery with a bevvie, breakfast, dinner, cheese platter etc. There is even a bluetooth speaker for entertainment. Beds were comfortable. We even saw some emus whilst enjoying our al fresco breakfast. There is a bbq and outdoor pizza oven if you need to cook, or use the kitchen oven, microwave etc. Next door is a winery (20 steps) that is open only on Sunday. We went to the winery, and Bruce looked after us! He made us some herbal cocktails that were very nice, and we had ourselves a picnic bbq there and sipped on Top Block Wines.
