To tell you the truth, I was most apprehensive about staying here. The prior reviews had me concerned. They were WRONG! This Hotel was a Blessing!! Every member of their Staff was Ultra-Friendly!! Suggestions to where to dine out, shop, the best cup of coffee and pastry; which areas to avoid; where to catch which bus or tram, etc.
The Hotel is Awesome!!! Very Grande from a by-gone era! Even Damask linens in the bathroom.
FREE wifi - get code from front desk and avoid the advertisement of having to pay. The Hotel offers this for FREE.
Breakfasts, also FREE, were plentiful and a great variety, sliced meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, pastries, juices, coffees etc.
The entire property was very Clean and Staff very Friendy!
We WILL stay here again!!!

What a gem of a hotel. For North American travellers you swear you were in a hotel at home. Lovely appointed, value priced and very helpful staff. We would plan our holiday around staying at the Viola next time. Congratulations to their staff and owners for such a lovely property at such a value price!

We stayed in the double bedroom apartment. It was fine, but no outside space (there was a terrace in another block but the key didn't work) and no sofas, so not ideal to relax. Breakfast is free from a local bar, but it's quite a walk out of town and we didn't bother after the first day. It was well kitted out though - very useful to have a washing machine and the kitchen was well stocked.
We stayed here one day after a very long drive and ferry ride and after we found the hotel (The hotel is very had to find) the experience was nice.
Room was fine and the hotel facilities were nice
The internet is only is the common area, so no room access. That was unfortunate.
My only real complaint was that we were woken up very very early by a local Rooster. (Although that’s not the hotels fault, it was still annoying)
I wished we has been there a bit longer we would have used the pool and other facilities but our experience was good

(1) The mattress on my bed was very lumpy and uneven. The springs seemed to be broken. It was uncomfortable.
(2) The hotel says it accepts credit cards. When I came to pay my bill the receptionist told me his computer was down so he could not accept payment by credit card. So I paid with cash. I asked for a receipt for the cash payment but the receptionist would not give me one.
(3) There was a very bad smell in the fridge in my room.
(4) The breakfast room was not a place one would want to linger.
I wanted a quiet room with a view & balcony. My room exceeded expectations. Hotel Belvedere is conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the centre with it's sights & lovely restaurants. the hotel staff advised on 4 restaurants each of which were excellent & offered very different menus. The staff were so accommodating & friendly. I cannot fault the Hotel Belvedere. 3 lots of friends have stayed here & I would thoroughly recommend it.
The hotel was difficult to find; a better way has to be found to allow finding residences not located on major roads
The establishment is a residence type which means it comes with a “fully” equipped kitchen, and in our case a separate bedroom. Generally it is well designed and roomy. It looks relatively new but already there are worn parts like a scratched dining table, a gouged Teflon pan. And there are things missing like one knob on the stove, a toaster and tops for pots and the sharp knives aren’t sharp. The shutter in the living room refuses to open (it is the type which you open by pulling a cord -- the bedroom one worked
The internet worked sporadically.
