No room cleaning the entire stay. I had tk ask reception twice for new towels which didnt occur until a day before departure. There seem to be a lack of communication from reception to housekeeping. Prices are jacked up for the Tennis already, doing a room check daily changing towels is the minimum required really..

Look, it was okay, I found the front desk staff a little curt and abrupt. I also was taken a back when I was charged another $60 on top of my room fee for a rollaway bed, even though in my booking it included the rollaway bed in the price. I didn’t budget for it so it made things a bit tight, to be frank.

Handy and Hospitable
Very handy position on St Kilda road with good eating options around. Two tram stops close by makes travel into the City or to St Kilda very easy. Rooms are spacious with a balcony and a good sized lounge as well as a small table and chairs. Little kitchen space and microwave help to keep costs down. Very friendly staff and good onsite parking (not free).

The room was very clean and tidy and we were happy with the check-in process and the stay in general - comfortable bed, good facilities reasonable amount of space. BUT, we were to check-out early on our last day so the day prior we checked with the desk clerk that there would be someone on duty at that time and were told only that "...there should be someone at the desk...". When we tried to leave there was no-one at the desk and ringing the desk number was successful only for nobody to appear despite a jacket hanging on the back of the desk chair. After approx 45mins we found a cleaner who went to the back room and roused a body who had been ASLEEP!! Completely unacceptable and we will NEVER again stay in a Mercure hotel as a result. Warning: make prior arrangements when checking-out of the Mercure Melbourne StKilda Rd!!

Did not like not having our room refreshed every day,it seems if you put your door card out with the message RELAXING CALL BACK LATER the cleaners do not come back you are ignored,they want to refresh your room to suit thier schedule not to suit the customer.we actually stayed 12 nights and our room was refreshed only twice by the cleaners and both times were at our request,even complaining to a manager only succeeded in one refresh on the day we complained then we were forgot about.

The fact that apparently yr staff were from South America. Very pleasant manner, their language was so calm to listen too. What we were disappointed with was the fact that about 3pm we were able to order a meal, on arrival, but when we asked to purchase some bread with our meal we were advised that bread was not available (?). Disappointed.

We had a lovely stay. The only thing that would improve our stay was being able to order a paper. In saying that couldn’t fault the staff, service, room, location and the large parking spaces. Fabulous. Definitely will be back.

Pet friendly room is perfect for when we need to be in the city & being the pup. Rooms are beautiful & new. Super clean & comfortable. Staff are friendly & quick to help with any questions or issues. Only thing that could be improved is the kitchen supplies - no wine glasses. :-)
