“Not impressed”
They put my in a room that had no natural light coming in - the balcony had a 9 foot high "fence" covering it. It was so claustraphobic and it's on one of the main streets through the back end of Southbank. It looked nothing like the photos on the web.
“Good one”
A serviced appartment hotel, well maintained. Service is OK & proximity to happening place in Melbourne. overall its a good stay. I actually extended by another week. i just feel its overly priced, compared to others...
“great hotel but the staff are what make it fantastic”
We booked a spa room at the Mantra Southbank for our anniversary. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the booking and we didn't get the room we booked. When we told staff member Thomas he was sincerely apologetic and explained that being a Saturday night the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't get an upgrade to another room. Instead we were offered a choice of dinner or breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We chose dinner. When we went to the restaurant they were expecting us and greeted us with friendly smile, nothing was too much for them. We enjoyed a 2 course meal (only because we were too full for desert as well) and cocktails. One of the girls from the desk was serving us and making sure we had everything we wanted. The food and the service we received from all the hotel and restaurant staff was outstanding. They turned around something that was disappointing and made it a night to remember. Other good points, the room was clean and nice and the location is good, you can easily walk to the casino and the city and make sure you head up to the top floor for a swim and a spa.
“Clean, Convenient, and Caring”
Our stay at the Mantra Southbank Melbourne was a wonderful experience; the staff were attentive and caring, the apartment was clean and well-appointed, and the location was extremely convenient for walking or transportation to both riverfront and CBD activities and meals.
“Comfortable and Good Location”
Stayed at Mantra Southbank with family. Service was very good. Room was quite comfortable. Only hiccup was the room was booked for 2 adults and 2 children and the sleeping arrangements were a queen bed and sofa bed. Kids were not overly happy about sleeping arrangements but they survived. Would have been better if sleeping arrangements were made apparent prior to booking but not the end of the world.
