The property is well located to transport and is a comfortable walk to the action. Great food options and theatre. The rooms are spacious and well appointed but soundproofing is lacking and if you have a noisey neighbour, as I did with an adjoining door, then you are subjected hearing their conversations word for word.

A few minor maintenance issues need to be attended. Avoid the top floor if you are a light sleeper, fans run on the roof all night long.

The room was spacious and the bed comfy but otherwise there are a lot of improvements needed. We stayed for 3 nights. The kitchenette worktop was damaged making it unhygienic. There were no dinner plates and no washing up liquid. The promised daily housecleaning did not happen meaning we had to ask for extra toilet paper and coffee but they were unable to give us milk. The tea towel needed changing daily as did the bath mat and hand towels, and we had to make do as when we asked, we were told housekeeping had gone home. We loved the location but management needs to make improvements.

It’s a good price but there’s no excuse for mouldy rusty showers & thick grimy windows- reception shut at 3pm so inconvenient to get a second swipe card.

As a previous maint manager of the property I found a leaking toilet, unusable dimmer switches, falling apart shower knobs, lack of a hand rail for access into the shower, rattling balcony doors, missing free to air tv channels, threadbare public hallway carpets, .....a bit of a dis-appointment

A little dated the rooms on floor 4 and 5, the bathrooms could do with some love, beds were fine, the carpet in the hallways of floor 4 and 5 is very old and has crumped up so its a potential tripping hazard, fine for location, price was reasonable

For the amount of money paid for the room, I would expect the standard to be higher. The bedroom had enough space around the bed to move around (40cm). If you put your luggage on the floor or the stand you had to climb over it. The bed obstructed your ability to close the bedroom door. The laminate on the kitchenette doors was peeling off. The telephone in the room was unplugged and had no power, therefore you had to make an outside call on your mobile to speak to reception. There were only sufficient crockery, glassware, and utensils for one person, so we had to walk down to reception to get another set of everything. On a positive note, the bedlinen was clean and the bed was comfortable, the hotel is located a short walk to public transport, theatres, restaurants, and shopping.

They forgot to check the towel and bin. And the reception will close at 8pm. So you can't request new towels and ask someone to change the bin if you come back late.

Very convenient to the Princess Theatre and restaurants and bars and train. Parking available close by. Had everything we needed. Comfortable and affordable. Only negative it is a bit old and tired whiich is probably why affordable. Fridge wasn't very clean but we didn't need it.

The rooms were extremely dirty, smelly and not maintained very well. Not as described on the webpage. We were on the 5th floor and the lifts were not operating. The reception was a joke, the computer froze as soon as I walked in and had to wait for them to get an internet line connected. Very disappointed.

We booked this property well in advance as we had booked a theatre show. Upon arrival we are told that the elevator is out of operation. This could have been told to us in advance and we would have cancelled our booking and re-booked with another property. We are seniors and do not cope well with stairs.

Stayed here to access the Princess Theatre and was very close! Was also walking distance to the Regent Theatre. Rooms were neat and tidy, kitchen had utensils and crockery that worked. Missing a few towels for our four person visit but was quickly rectified. Happy to stay here again for the next show coming to town.

Bed a bit firm, but good location Shower nice and hot. Fair price for city location. Receptionist hardly smiled or talked bit reserved Room and hallway had a strange smell like cooking but not a nice smell. Bought toilet spray to spray in room everytime we returned to the room.
