"The hotel is in an excellent location right in middle of town within walking distance of everything Basingstoke has to offer. Reception and eating areas we're modern and clean and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. The reception staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The only thing was the room although clean and well presented was a little dated and could possibly do with being modernised. If this was done it would definitely improve its 3 star rating in my opinion."

"Excellent friendly staff lovely foyer ,seating area and bar ,nice restaurant but the rooms could do with updating ie painting and furniture . Breakfast was very good and we dined in the restaurant which we really enjoyed enjoyed."

"We recently stayed at Gray Manor Hotel, and while the reception team was friendly and welcoming, the property itself is significantly run down and poorly maintained. The grounds are highly neglected, cluttered with dilapidated sheds, and covered in rubbish. Inside the room, the lifted laminate flooring was a genuine safety hazard. Furthermore, the room was incredibly hot with only a loud mini fan provided, and a constant, heavy mechanical noise from a pump ran all night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The Wi-Fi was also highly unreliable, and the TV would not connect to any network. While the staff is doing their best, the hotel requires urgent attention regarding basic maintenance, safety, and hygiene. We ultimately had to check out early due to these conditions."

"Very clean, tidy and well presented hotel. On site parking was good value and they let me leave my car there ahead of check in too. Comfortable room and the breakfast was decent quality and good value. Would consider staying here again."

"Beautiful location and the views of the river were stunning. Room was good and spacious with a great few of the river which really made up for everything else. Staff seemed to be a little unhelpful when it came to breakfast as we had no clue where to go, if we were to help ourselves or not.. we just got on with it in the end.. and there was limited options really. Value for money .. I would say it’s alittle over priced for what you get. You pay £30 deposit on top of what you paid for the room due to taxes and fees? Then pay on top for parking. Just seems little off. Bath was beautiful I must say"
