“Dusit Thani Manila”

my stay in Dusit was a good experience, the location is perfect and next door to a big shopping centers and restaurants. the out side garden needs some improvements to be used in much better way and the seat should be changed to be more convertible. the club lounge is not as good as other club lounges i been at in other hotels.

Makati is the best area if you are traveling for Business, you will be close to all Business areas, banks and shopping centers.

“Thai Hotel in Makati, Great Location!!!!”

Defiantly a great hotel. Location is great and across the road from SM Makati, Gloretta and Greenbelt which all connect together. you don't need a cab and all Shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Enjoy.

Area recommendations

Stay in Makati if you want to be in the best part of town. Malete is seedy - but if thats what you want go ahead.!!

Shopping

shopping in manila is average, you won't go crazy on everything. Greenbelt has your top of the range shops, parada, topshop zara etc. Glorietta has the same and the landmark is a dated department store. Greenhills Shopping Center is about 45 minutes from makati. go there is you want market style shopping in air con. its like the MBK centre in Bangkok, but just not as big

Greenbelt 3,4,5 that the best eating. Affordable. The ShangriLa, Dusit Thani, Peninsula have top restaurants but the most expensive in the city, but worth it if you want top notch!

“Could be better”

Slightly disappointed, nice lobby and service, but was disappointed no wifi available in the rooms, charged for using internet in business center, stayed in cheaper hotels in Manila and this wasn't the case. Breakfast was just OK. Expected more for the price.

“Manila's best Hotel”

Friendly atmosphere, very polite staff, The elevator attendants so down to earth friendly with smiles at all time. Hotel rooms are kept tidy except there were no trash bags placed in waste bins!! (we used shopping plastic bags). Overall our stay at this hotel was remarkable and splendid, I want to go back again soon.

“Not impressed”

We stayed in this hotel from May 26, 2011 to May 29,2011. But 2 weeks before checked- in with the date above, I emailed them, going to their website, requesting for an early check in if possible, because we were arriving Manila international airport early in the morning. My email went successfully because after I sent it, it appeared" your email was sent successfully". I waited for their response but after 5 days, there was no response. So I emailed them again,and answer did not come at all. I can't believe what kind of customer service do they have, not responding to the email of their customers. All I need was an answer from them if we can check in early or not. So we checked - in May 26, 2011, and we found out that this hotel needs renovation, its old and the carpet in our room smells. I do not recommend thish otel, not impressed at all.

“Better this time than last time!”

We had visited this hotel about two weeks prior for an overnight stay. This time our plan was for two nights. I was dreading my return because the last room was shabby, didn't have a shower, thin walls. But we couldn't cancel. This time we had another room on the same floor. It was smaller, but had everything we needed -- even a real shower. It even had a better view. I willing to visit this hotel again, but I will be very specific about the room I want. Food ok, but couldn't believe we had to pay for each coffee refill. Bar drinks watered down, good entertainment.
