The aftermath of the typhoon upset things a bitPosted 29/11/2013
Cons: A fan in the rooms. Air conditioning was unnecessary at times
Location: Plenty of shopping to be done but the harbour was dirty.

Bang for your buckPosted 21/11/2013
Pros: price, comfortable rooms, breakfast buffet, car services.
Cons: Give more options if guest decide to stay at the hotel all day... i.e pool, lounge area mor family friendly, better selection of channels on t.v.
Location: location is not that great but close by to the Malate area Robinsons mall and Roxas blvd. Nothing near by walking distance I found of any interest.
I have stayed here the past two times while in manila. It’s probably the best deal you will find in the area and book through Expedia. Standard rooms are fine if you traveling alone but I would definitely spend the few extra dollars for a deluxe. Rooms are nice big beds and A.C makes the rooms cool quickly. I’m very picky about the rest rooms (CR) and I got to admit they do have above par showers and toilets. I just wish there was more of a physical separation of the two besides a shower screen. Also book rooms with complimentary breakfast BUFFET which is good. (There is an option for "breakfast for two" totally different). They have private car service available which is great so you don't have to deal with those bad taxi drivers who refuse to use meters and try to overcharge because you a foreigner or balikbayan... cost is a little higher but well worth sense of security and convenience. Staff is nice and always willing to assist you. Additional service I found useful are money exchange at the front desk which I use sparingly. There are two 7 elevens walking distance as well an Inasal and Jolibee. Don’t go out to late unless you’re comfortable with the environment. Overall great place to rest up! I can can’t forget the wifi which surprisingly strong.

A wonderful little hotel in a great locationPosted 04/11/2013
To check in at the LaCorona feel like coming home for me. I stayed there many times over the past years, and while some things have changed, it is still a friendly little hotel, hidden on a back street in the heart of Ermita. Where is it? Just beside the Ermita Church. Where is it? Just a walk to the American Embassy. Where is it? Near Roxas Blvd and Manila Bay. Where is it? Not far from the largest city park. Where is it? In front of the best traditional Philippine restaurant in Manila. What is it? Kind of like staying at your grandmother's house. What is it? a boutique hotel, with a few dozen rooms? What is it? A comfortable spot which includes a restaurant. What is it? A place of to relax and enjoy good service. What is it? A safe and comfortable, quiet room. What is it? A non-smoking oasis. What is it? A place of welcome. Mabuhay! Request a quiet room near the back to eliminate possible traffic noise. Treat the staff kindly, they are your friends. Best regards, Bob J

Stayed for 2 nightsPosted 04/11/2013
Stayed on this hotel for 2 nights. I am contented on the service. The hotel is very close to SLEC where I had my medical. Also walking distance to COA and Supreme Court and very close to Robinsons.

Good LocationPosted 23/10/2013
Pros: Service all excellent.
Cons: Needs a full refurbishment.
Location: Good location close to the massive and excellent shopping mall. Also close to Manilia night-spots away fro the Makati area that is a complete rip-off.
This is an older hotel in need of refurbishment, but the room was clean and the facilities adequate. The staff were excellent and did their utmost to provide us with whatever we needed. The hotel is conveniently located one block back from the beachfront in a reasonable area so I did not feel unsafe at any stage. The door staff were very adept in getting a cab at any time and as cabs are cheap to use don't hesitate to do so. Always ask the driver to put the meter on as it's the cheapest option. If you are just using the hotel as a bedroom, it is fine, but if you expect to be remaining in the hotel for extended periods I would not recommend it. All in all a very satisfactory experience.

Comforts and AllPosted 22/10/2013
Pros: Everything about the hotel made me feel comfortable, the quietness and surreal atmosphere, blocking out the noisy surrounding of very day hustle
Cons: In my opinion, the over charges of the van service in front of the door can be eliminated, brings a sense of bad business..
Location: Malls,Ocean Park,Horse Carriage Rides,Bars, Variety of Eateries,clubs not far,Tours Agencies etc..
From beginning to end our experiences with the hotel put comfort in our hearts and trust in our thoughts. Greetings at the doors to the receptionist at the front desk, servers at our tables, house keeping right on time services. Food was great, hospitality very warm and received.

Great hotel near airport and malls!Posted 16/10/2013
Pros: The location, internet, staff and breakfast
Cons: nothing - is great!
Location: Mall of Asia is down the road and the airport too!
This is my first time at this Best Western - usually stay in Makati at that Best Western. Changed to this one as its closer to the airports and the shopping as like Mall of Asia - the biggest mall in Asia. Was a great stay - check in was fast - elevator was fast - room was very big - internet was great - breakfast was really really good! Staff is great - helpful and fast! The area is a little bit of deal due to the # of foreigners there - it brings the beggars and girls - but we taxi everywhere or else get it delivered so we just ignore it! The party area is a few blocks away so didn't hear anything from it or see any of it other than in taxi on way to the hotel from airport. I would and will stay here again - really like it - and you will too! its a Best Western - enough said!

Good enough for the pricePosted 30/09/2013
Not a great hotel, but worth the money we paid. Extremely good staff, but rooms were a little aged and bland. Good enough for a short trip, not for a vacation!
