My husband booked us a night at hotel to celebrate my birthday! We loved the spa facilities! Our room was clean,bed was comfy, and I loved the modern look of the room! I must also add we had breakfast at hotel which was very nice as well.I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends and also stay at this hotel again as it was in walking distance of train station and shopping centre

Had a horrible couple days stay, internet was down both days and staff were not aware of protocol on how to get it up and running. The room was supposed to be a superior room, but not particularly well maintained. Better hotels around the area in my opinion.

This hotel is amazing. I always feel relaxed as soon as I enter the hotel, the reception is very friendly and their check in procedure is best in UK. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bar and dining are very good quality. Highly recommended

A great location and the spa facilities were a bonus, but the room and the spa area were dirty. Stains, rubbish, dirty marks, hairs etc. We had tea stains on our walls and carpet and it all looked like it needed a refurb in the room. We didnt use the main bar/restaurant so can't comment on that, but the reception area was clean. Such a shame that you have to pay a high price for city rooms, but they mostly seem to let themselves down on basic cleanliness.

Hotel was ok. Thought it was pretty expensive for what we got. Bath room was depressing. Could not sleep at night it was so loud with pipes making noises, and a constant dripping sound. Bed was rock hard, pillows felt like draft excluders not comfy at all. Our door was tried from outside at least 2/3 times during the night, didn’t feel safe.

We visited last weekend for my son’s 10th birthday party. First impression when we got in the room was very cold but very clean and spacious. After a few hours of being there the room was still very cold despite the fact we blasted the temp to 24 degrees . That has been sorted after we contacted the reception and they sent up a couple of heaters .May I just mention that the heating didn’t work the hole weekend. Swiming pool was incredibly cold as well but actually all the hotel was cold so o guess they must be saving on bills . Breakfast was not great both mornings we were there limited choices , not enough variety of spreads , no fried eggs on offer , the fruit we had was some patetic “fruit salad “ water melon that looked dry and discoloured and melon . Apparently the fried eggs are made to order but it took 20 min to have ours in which time we pretty much finished eating . When I’ve approached one of the staff about breakfast situation she was very apologetic and said that they are waiting on deliveries . Which made me think ,the management of this hotel didn’t know that they had guests staying in the hotel for the weekend and they had to be cater for ?! Really not good enough My personal thought on the hotel is that staff are not happy , they definitely didn’t look happy to us . Serious faces all the time , never seen anyone talking to each other or the guests in the hotel . The only exception was the gentleman at the spa reception , the only person that seemed happy

Reception team excellent especially Laura Bar staff great - the lady who worked on the evening of 02/01 very kind and helpful Young man working the breakfast shift very efficient Housekeeper again helpful and efficient Spa is an added bonus to swim and have a stearoom/sauna. Be nice if there was a water machine pool side and if there was an exclusive swim time for families the pool is small so maybe one session a day just for people with kids would be good.

Hotel OK, restaurant poor
The hotel itself was fine, and we were only staying for one night, for a concert. The let down was the restaurant. Totally chaotic, non organised and it was as if no one knew what they were doing. We were seated reasonably quickly, and then after 30 mins and having someone confirm 3 times what our order was, we still hadnt even had a drink. Other people were complaining as well, and also sending food back. We were planning on having a few drinks and some food to kill some time till the concert was on, but we upped and left after 30 mins because it wasnt looking like we were getting anything soon, and life is too short. We ended up going to the AO arena and paying rediculous prices for a quick bite. Luckily the Snooker place over the road did great Pizzas so we had one and a few pints after the concert. Hopefully this was a one off for this restaurant, but i'm not convinced.

All good with the exception of a tv that didn't work and the lifts are frustratingly slow given there are so few floors and 3 lifts.

We booked 2 nights/3 days and our overall experience was terrible.We needed a fridge for our sons insulin i prearranged this with front desk, but when we arrived I was asked to prove that id been in contact with the hotel. The staff then took my phone and read through my emails. Only then we were offered another room. Id booked for 2 adults and 1 child and the room given had to have a cot bed added which was put under a floating shelve that would have cause injury to my child so we had to move this. The cleaners arrived in the morning and half made the beds , they didnt empty the trash or provide much needed toilet roll.On the first night the restaurant was freezing and the only member of staff that was friendly and that could speak english offered 8 people 2 blankets. The hotel restaurant and breakfast area was freezing cold the whole 3 days .The breakfast was cold each morning and again not one member of staff could speak english so couldnt assit us. Not one time did we see any manager around the hotel. We ordered a taxi for 5 people eariler in the day while waiting over 15 mins for the taxi, i asked staff to ring them and again said 1 taxi for 5 people, only a 4 seater arrived with the taxi company blaming the hotel staff and vis versa, we decided to leave as we were going to a match and we got our own taxi We will be back in Manchester for the football matches but i would not recommend this hotel nor would we go back to it.
