“Great location and cocktails”

Very convenient location to both the city centre, bars, restaurants and the picadilly train station. We even walked to the O2 Apollo from the hotel which only took about 25 mins. I recommend checking out the cocktails on the lower ground floor, very tasty!

“Nice fresh hotel.”

First visit to this hotel & my first to a 4*. Staff in reception were very helpful on arrival. They gave us a pack on things to see & places to eat etc. Room was extremely comfortable and very clean. Bathroom was also noce and clean. Whole place had a fresh feel to it. Alot of older buildings tend to appear to need work doing but this was bright and well maintained. Due to travelling on a budget I did not use the restaurant. Location was fairly central. Picadilly gardens was a 10 minute walk away. China town is on the doorstep.

“excellent hotel”

being from Liverpool it goes against the grain to say any thing nice about Manchester. We stayed one night but this hotel was excellent. staff were very helpful, standards excellent. this was as good as any 4*i have stayed in. only downside was parking, but this is due to its excellent central location.

“best bed ever!”

I stayed at the Arora for a day as I was going to watch a United match(which we won yay)and luckily I had got the room at a good rate probably because it was a Sunday. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we wanted to know where to eat, what to see etc. The rooms wern't that spacious but were very comfortable and clean. There were these amazing beds that were so soft an confortable - I wanted to book another night just to sleep in it again! The bathroom was also very clean and stylish, a good powershower, towel heater and came with towels, soap, bodywash and shampoo. The room also came with an iron and ironing board, and the TV had basic channels aswell as sky news sky1 and a few other channels. You can't hear noise from outside either andd.. there's also room heating and air conditioning. The lifts are also really nice they smell of magnolia or something. I didn't go to the bar and restaurant downstairs so can't say anything about that. It was in a good location too not too close to the busy centre but not far from it either -it was a 5-10 minute walk to from the train station and just 5 minutes away from the main shopping area. I would definately stay at the Arora again for the bed more than anything and I really couldn't fault anything that it had to offer.

“A Pearl of a Contemporary Hotel in a Victorian Shell”

The hotel's location could not be better - at the edge of Manchester's Chinatown, across from the Art Museum, and almost adjacent to the Town Hall and a Metrolink tram stop. Although my room faced the street, it was always quiet, perfect for a late riser. The room itself and its furnishings were so clean and contemporary that you would think you were the first person ever to use it. The breakfast buffet would challenge the best anywhere, and if you did not want a full hot breakfast, the cold buffet came at a lower price and the cold table assortment was also superior to offerings at most hotels. The hotel offered all the amenities of the largest hotels in Manchester, but it is small enough so you won't feel overlooked - I felt that my two-night stay there was very important to them. The hotel's security, with a card key requirement for the elevator (plus its smaller size allowed the staff to notice and greet everyone), was well above the usual.

“Comfortable, clean & central”

Rooms at the Back George Street side are noisy ( Service lorries coming & going). Staff moved us to the other side without a fuss and that room very quiet, v comfortable. A hassle free stay. Convenient car parking nearby.

“fantastic hotel within walking distance of everything”

Booked this hotel for overnight stay on way back from christening in Wales as in-laws and my wife were keen to see Manchester before flying back to Ireland and because we were only there for one night they wanted to be central. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic from the doorman and reception staff right through to the barman. The hotel is located three doors from Yang Sing (reknowned for it's cantonese food especially dim sum)and across the road from chinatown. The Northern Quarter is five minutes away as is the Arndale shopping centre and all other main attractions. It was so easy to get around on foot and the hotel was perfectly located. Hotel itself is very nice with lovely bar and restaurant. We were given room upgrades as well which was a pleasant extra. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly be staying there next time we visit Manchester.

“Ideal value for money”

Ideally situated, Route 3 Metroshuttle free bus stop opposite, 200 yards from tram stop, comfortable walking distance from Deansgate. Staff knowledgeable and helpful at all times. Would not hesitate to return.

“Fantastic Stay”

The Reception staff had to be the friendliest I have ever come across. Really enjoyed our stay - very central hotel, excellent chinese restaurant 3 doors away - nice secure NCP round the corner - shopping only a 5 minute walk. Would definately go back.
